I bought this hair dryer in July 2024, and I waited 6 months to give this review. I wanted to give folks some reliable feedback. I wash my hair every other day, and I always blow dry it. As you can see from the pics, I have shoulder length hair. What you may not tell, it it's also thick. Today, I timed how long it took to dry my hair: 6 minutes total. The Chi Advanced cut the time in half and my hair came out smooth and shiny. I firmly believe Chi Advanced 1875 is a step above. I am so happy with it! Here's why: 1) The nozzle where the air comes out is shorter in length, so it's easier for me to handle. Because it's closer to my head, I have better control. 2) It's smaller and lighter in weight, so it doesn't tire out my arm. That's a big deal for me because I have a weak wrist from carpal tunnel syndrome. 3) It also comes with a secure wraparound Velcro tie, so you can neatly store the cord. 4) The power cord is long. This comes in handy when I travel and the outlet in the hotel bathroom is being used by someone else. I can take it into the bedroom area and due to the longer cord, I'm able to reach a mirror that's further away. Yes, it's pricey. But it's 100%++ worth it. If you're on the fence or want to splurge, GET IT! Now that I know what it can do, I would not hesitate to pay full price. Trust me, you won't regret the investment. ☺️ ... show more

This little guy is powerful & will work magic with your hair. It dries my hair in 5 minutes. Amazing! If I turn my head upside down using the dryer, then flip it back up, somehow it puts a nice curl in my hair & I look like I styled my hair when I didn’t as I dried it w/no brush or comb. My old blow dryer never did that. I notice my frizz fly aways have been more tamed also. I don’t have to use as much serum in my hair as I used to since it’s not major frizz fest anymore. I’m SUPER impressed w/this little guy & it’s totally worth the $ I paid. I was going to buy the cheaper, heavier version that is also Ionic but once I tried it out theres no comparison. It didn’t dry my hair in 5 minutes, it left me w/more frizz & it was noticeably heavier than this lil guy. If this ever breaks, I will repurchase it. Love it! ... show more

I got this item to replace a Chi hair dryer that I'd had for 3 or 4 years before it literally started smoking while I was using it. This little adequately lightweight red thing is wonderful and dries my hair quickly without my working up a sweat in my tiny bathroom while using it. The 3 heat settings in addition to the cool shot is fantastic and though the highest setting doesn't seem to get as hot as other dryers, that doesn't seem to take away from the efficiency of this product and I personally prefer it this way. The shorter nose part of the dryer took some practice to get used to but I also now prefer this size since I no longer need to hold my arms all the way out or up, to use this on my quite long hair. The blue light on it, helps me see where I'm aiming the dryer nose when in use however I'm sure the light is designed for something else entirely. ..not that I know what that's for. Ha! It came brand new & well-packaged and somehow managed to show up in under 48 hours! Nice work by the seller and the manufacturinf company! ... show more

For such a compact unit I am extremely impressed. Light-weight. Relatively quiet - all other dryers I've used have been so loud I had to use ear plugs. Plenty of heat and air flow settings which are placed well for easy access. The diffuser attachment is plenty large and works very well. When used without the diffuser for a blow-out, my hair has never gotten dry that quick - less than 7 minutes for medium length fine hair on medium air flow and low heat. I absolute love this hair dryer. I’m am on the smaller side and my arms get so tired trying to blow dry my hair with a regular sized hair dryer because it sticks out so much. It’s also perfect for traveling. This blow dryer is petite like. I don’t have to extend my arm that wide and risk hitting my head. It’s not heavy at all. I forget how long I have had this hair dryer but I love it!. It is durable. I've been using it for awhile and it looks brand new. I think it came with multiple attachments but I really only use the one shown in the main picture. I don't think it is fair to judge this product on curling ability because nothing curls my hair and that's my hair not the product.
