Cherry is clearly a company that cares about their customers and the environment. The box was shipped without any wasteful outer box. The box did not contain any plastic whatsoever. The included batteries did not have any stupid single use plastic wrap that does nothing. Everything was neatly packaged in black tissue paper. Apart from the packaging, there are more than a few notable features of this product. The rechargeable batteries are standard user replaceable NIMH batteries. The chemistry of NIMH is better for the planet, more recyclable, stable, and safer than LIPO counterparts. I wish other manufacturers would follow this example. The product is clearly built to last. The plastic used in the keys feels outstanding, with a chalky texture that is comfortable on the fingers. Both the mouse and the keyboard chassis are robust and thick. The mouse feels outstanding in the hands due to the perfectly tuned silent mouse switches and heavy-duty plastic shell. Finally, the typing experience on the keyboard is unparalleled in terms of accuracy and comfort. These key switches may be some of the best on the market, even when compared to overrated mechanical keyboards. They are swift, tactile, and perfectly shaped. The keyboard layout is perfectly tuned, with outstanding media controls and only useful function features. Overall, it is the best keyboard I have ever used for productivity.

Both the keyboard and mouse are built to last, at least at first glance, The keyboard is very heavy and stiff, no board flex at all, However the mouse ergonomics are not great, and the thumb is always resting on the unpleasant side button finish (sharp lines & raised buttons from the body of the mouse), and the for the keyboard, a 3rd part wrist pad is a must.. Another issue with the mouse are the LMB and RMB, the actuation point is too deep, and on long presses, the mouse might detect a lift, de-pressing the button, while it should still be considered pressed mechanically and electronically. Latency feels ok, and Overall I am pleased to have this over other companies, and the dedicated media buttons are very useful and programmable via software (as well as mouse)..

Do not buy this keyboard. Some keys would not work while others would show 5, 6, 7 of the same letter with just one stroke. This is a terrible keyboard.

I'll admit it right off the bat... I really hated the feel of the mouse in this keyboard/mouse combo at first. I've only used Logitech mice for well over 20 years, so I'm used to their ergonomics. In fact I was so stuck on a specific, now-long-outdated model that I bought several from closeouts just to have a good supply onhand. I've worn those out and my FAVORITE Microsoft keyboard (the wonderful but lost in time "Office" keyboard) has very few letters still visible on the keys. In other words: IT WAS TIME FOR A NEW KEYBOARD AND MOUSE! I saw this one and recognized the brand "Cherry", so I expected it to be good quality. It has not disappointed in terms of function. The rechargeable batteries last a long time and the connection via its receiver has been solid. I like the keyboard and quickly got used to the feel, although I DO miss one little feature of my Office keyboard... that of 3 cut, copy, and paste buttons located to the left of the main keyboard. Hey, I've been a computer engineer since 1975 and I know all about Ctrl-X, Ctrl-C, and Ctrl-V, but I still love those buttons, and my hand's muscle memory reaches for them EVERY TIME I want to cut and paste. Sigh. Still, the Office keyboard was wired and I DO like a wireless keyboard now, so I'm going to try to wean myself off of the buttons. The mouse... wow, it was hate at first feel. I can't say exactly why now, but I think it was because the right edge of the mouse hit my little finger at the wrong angle and seemed to cut into it (or something like that)! It just didn't feel right at first, and I switched back to my old mouse. That one finally died a few months ago, so I had to go back to the Cherry... and it started growing on me. Months later, I would now grab for it over my old favorite. It's amazing how we can retrain ourselves! So, I love the keyboard, and I love the mouse. What else can you ask for? Definitely Recommend.
