  • Exactly what I needed!
I searched around and this was the best price. It was also extremely well built and it came with the leveler. I was really impressed with how it was packaged and wrapped it was in perfect condition when I got it and was easy to assemble with all the included hardware. No pieces were missing the box was not torn. Pull the engine out of my Ford Ranger no problem. ... show more

  • A bargain engine hoist
I saw this get down to $170 and it is absolute steal at that price, especially since it come with a leveler. The instructions is literally just an exploded view, and the hardware is not labeled so you have to guess what bolts go where in some cases. The instructions I had were a little different than what other reviewers posted, and some of the instructions on the version I received were wrong. For example, mine said to use the M16 bolts on the support brackets and the M14 on the main post. I think this should be switched as the M16 bolts did not fit. Also, it says to put the longest bolt on the boom pivot. It should actually be used on the top of the supports. Also, it's not clear that the lock pins are also used as the leg pivots. Finally the illustration has the bottom of the brackets attached to the outside of the frame (as well as in the Garveetch video). The other instructions posted here have it on the inside. ... show more

  • You get your money’s worth
Decent quality based on assembly. Instructions are a little vague sort of putting a puzzle. Overall good for the price.

  • Diagram is too small a hard to read
Diagram of hoist was very small and hard to read. Item came with a damaged box and hoist was scratched up in places. I replaced almost all the bolts with grade 8 standard bolts, not that the grade 2 bolts wouldn't work, but I never use that grade of bolt for anything . It did come with ultra high strength bolts for the jack attachment points(2) and the chain attachment. It looks like it is built well and I will put it to the test in the near future. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for!
Decent lift for the money, but you definitely get what you pay for. The lift came with one oddball wheel that didn’t fit it so I had to drill and tap it to make it work. I recommend upgrading the jack as the one it comes with isn’t very strong and will leak down. It was also almost a week late, but that was Amazon’s fault ... show more
