I bought this SIM for a vacation and to attend a wedding in Ireland last December. After arriving at Dublin airport I followed the setup instructions, inserted the sim card, and found out the sim card is not connecting. I started to use the wifi at Dublin airport and contacted customer support via WhatsApp. Unlike other sim card I purchased before, this customer service is extremely slow. After an hour waiting for their reply, I figured its better for me to check in at the hotel and wait there. Their customer service finally replied after I checked in to the hotel. They asked me what my product number is. I sent it to them. They then ask me if I have signal bars on my phone. I said nope. And that was the last communication I got from them. They ghosted me and never resolved the issue. I was left without service and had to scramble to find another option while traveling. This was easily the worst SIM card product experience I’ve had. I bought this for an 11 day visit to Germany to use in my Blu brand Tracfone based phone. It worked perfectly and without flaw. I had a strong signal wherever I went, including on a day trip into France. It worked great for voice calls using WhatsApp, as well as using a US phone number through myGoogle Voice. Since I still had 19 days left on the SIM when I returned to the States, I decided to keep it on my pay-as-you-go phone and it still works great in the US. We have used these SIMs in July 2025 and they worked beautifully. But in July 2026, we bought 4 SIMs and all were defective. I wasted 6 hours at Vienna Airport trying "this and that" with Aerobile Support on WhatsApp. They tried, but then 3 in UK told Aerobile the SIMs were defective. After I tried the other 2, they agreed to refund the amount I paid. A total disaster. The refund does not come close to making us whole. Wasted time and aggravation was what we tried to avoid with pre-paid SIMs. The product worked in 2025. I knew about unlocked phone, about roaming etc. I had recommended them to a first-time European visitor in May, he couldn't get his working either. We ended up at an Iliad Kiosk just outside the airport. 19€ for 150G over 1 month. Took 10 minutes per phone and we were online. Why am I giving a 1 star review after a full refund? Because I spent 6 hours on the free airport WiFi in a futile effort. I was trying to avoid the minor bother of going to a kiosk and waiting 1 hour while the hapless attendant tried to get past the usual "Questa è l'Italia" hijinks. We took this card on our trip to Croatia. We inserted it into an unlocked phone we specifically bought for travel. We set up the phone before we left the US with the apps we needed (including Whatsapp). We inserted the sim card in the London airport and we instantly had phone and data service! It was a relief, because we were also having to deal with a cancelled flight. While traveling , we did not use that much data during our trip because we used local wifi when available and most of our travel was part of an organized tour. We will get one of these for next year when we go, as we will need it for Lyft and Uber and other calls, as we will not be on a group tour. It was nice to already have this ready to go because it saved us time. If you wait to purchase a sim card when you get to Europe, you have to show your passport to make the purchase, navigate the account, load more funds, etc. The card comes in a card so you can adjust the cutout size sim card you need for your phone.
