This little coffee maker has really saved the morning for me. When my old one failed, it was hard to find another that used No. 4 cone filters. I prefer the flavor of cone-dripped coffee, and this well-sized machine makes a pot much faster than my old one, while taking up less space. Coming from a $20 coffee pot this is a nice upgrade. Keeps the coffee hot but not scalding, quick brew. I like the programmable time setting but it was a bit tricky to figure out how to change it after setting. Only other complaint is that the area to pour water in the reservoir is a bit tight on the right side and I often end up getting water where I don't want it. If you just want a decent cup of coffee - the Chefman 12 cup Model RJ14-12RO pleasantly surprised us. It was intended to be the least expensive short term solution while researching - well turns out it was a good choice on its own if you just want coffee - which we do. Given recent disappointment with a variety of brands of countertop appliance, this one is still working well AND even managed to survive (now) past the one year warranty. Among the other things we like is its small footprint (and that that info was in the description might have affected the buy decision last year. ) ... show more

Yes it’s easy to clean. I use the paper filers instead of the plastic one. I feel the hot plate does not keep the coffee hot enough, and after 2-hours when it shuts down the machine does not make any noise or give you any signal in case you want to keep it on. Which my other machine did. The coffee machine is nice but not great. I’m not sending it back because I should of read more about it. ... show more
