Description

Chef'schoice electric food slicer 609T 609 is rugged and powerful. It features a tilted food carriage design for fast and efficient slicing. The multi- purpose 7-inch stainless steel blade slices a wide variety of foods and the large Capacity food carriage retracts fully to permit slicing of extra large roasts, hams and other foods. Its "easy-clean" design features a removable blade, food carriage, food pusher and food deflector for quick and easy cleaning. Constructed with key components made of cast aluminum and stainless steel, the unit houses a powerful, cool running, high torque motor and features reliable, smooth, gear drive operation. It features precision thickness control for slicing a wide variety of foods including meat, vegetables, breads and cheese from deli-thin to 3/4-inch thick with a click of a safety button the food carriage can be secured in a "lock" position to limit access to blade when unit is not in use.     • Saves a TON of time slicing Iberico ham!

If you're like me and you end up throwing away slices o 5 year iberico ham because it's covered in your own blood (the knife is crazy sharp and long, by the way), get this slicer. My initial hesitation was whether or not this slicer could go paper thin. I spent literally months researching slicers while my ham sat on my counter top, begging to be eaten. The wife constantly complained it was taking up too much space and hated the smell so I pulled the trigger and ordered it. Why did I wait so long! This machine does, indeed, slice paper thin slices of ham. The slices were as good or better than what I could do by hand a stack was cut at least a 1000 times faster. I can put a slice on paper and see the type through it... that's how good it is and it's with the serrated blade that came with the slicer. I got the smooth blade as well but haven't yet tried it. Very happy with this but will updated in about 6 months to let everyone know how well it's keeping up. It's also easy to clean! Overall, great buy, relatively quiet, great price, and great for hot pot aficionados :D save some cash, and cut your own shabu shabu! At this price point, this is a very good buy! I have been using it now for about 2 years and so far, havent changed the blade. I have blown 2 fuses over the 2 years - which doesn't seem too bad. I am probably getting to the point where a new blade would be good. It cuts meats and cheeses very accurately down to a pretty thin slice. I have used it on eye of round, turkey, pork loin and summer sausage, as well as smoked gouda cheese. Would recommend it for the casual user. ... show more

Amazing slicer at an incredible price! I had a previous version of this slicer and it held up under regular use for 15 years (mostly I make jerky and thin-sliced meats for Asian style dishes). So I bought this one as a replacement and it does not disappoint! Easy to use and cleans up nice. Will definitely buy again when this one goes out in another 15+ years! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Slicer also is like weight, slides all over when using and is flimsy like a cheap plastic toy. Easy to clean but dangerous to use. No phone numbers or emails to contact seller. Number on paperwork is no longer valid. You have to contact the owner of chef mate which is called the Legacy cCmpany. Google it as amzn denied my last review I feel because I gave their number, beginning with 954 area code. In dealing with them they may allow me to get another product since I bought from amzn, but my intuition is I’m going to be out $91 for a very poorly constructed slicer. I’ll come back with a resolution when I hear back from the seller Amzn people: you can reach chef mate AT ALL it’s not a responsible vendor, don’t block this review again please! 1/10/23 UPDATE from Seller: Hi Julie, Yes, that is correct.
