I'm in the process of moving and I don't want to knives to get dinged during the process. This bag is absolutely wonderful. There is a place for all of my knives including my cleaver. This way I can also keep my knives close by so I'm not feverishly looking for them once we get to our final destination.     • This Chef Knife bag is the real deal.
I was a chef (now retired, but still cooking) and have high-quality knives. This bag is clearly what it claims to be and holds two large Chinese cleavers, two chef knives, two boning knives as well as a bread knife. The extra clever (not too common) takes up two spaces, so both a paring knife and a utility knife could take its place, which is probably what will happen. There are also slots and pockets for other things too including the shoulder strap. I place over 70 Amazon orders per year and even though I'm always happy with them, only write one or two reviews during that same period. I have to be greatly impressed to do so. Absolutely loved this! This was perfect for moving overseas with my chef knives. Plenty of room (length and width) that even allowed for long serrated bread knives. I liked the extra pocket space that I used for chopsticks and a sharper serving fork. The knife bag folded up perfect in thirds and clipped tightly, holding everything together in a sturdy way.     • One size of the strap broke
I filled this bag the day i got it ! I think not even 2 weeks later the strap for crossbody broke . It might have been roughness or because i was moving it to much or because it got to heavy for the bag too bare . The inside slot with sipper is perfect because at my we get pens , and if your pen is unattended its gone ! So have that slot to put my pens in is perfect . I even put like 5-10 pairs of gloves because those are gone fast! i usually put my knifes handle first and the knife part it self up . Don't want nothing too happen to the slots if i put then the opposite way ... show more

I'm not a professional cook but do love to cook and appreciate a decent knife. I've purchased the knives I've wanted one at a time to take care whatever need I might have. So I have a decent collection of knives that I wanted to keep sharp and safe (especially considering what I've spent on these babies). This bag was just what the doctor ordered. I purchased knife edge guards to keep me safe and make sure the knives I have do not cut into this bag. Especially liked a separate place to keep my meat cleaver and the honing rod. The little zipper area is nice for kitchen shears, finger guards and whatever else you might need to carry (like a potato peeler). I thought it might be cumbersome having to pull this out every time I needed a knife but it actually works quite well when it's time to prep meals. Everything I need is right at my finger tips. For the price I don't think you could do any better. Just remember the knife edge guards (tons of them here on Amazon) and you shouldn't have any problems.
