It offers a spacious hiding spot while still being compact enough to fit into smaller tanks without overcrowding the space. I’ve noticed that my shrimp love to dart in and out of it, making it a fantastic playground for them. The piece is rather sturdy, and was exactly as described and expected. However, because of the silicone in the corners of the tank, the piece would not sit completely flush against the glass walls, and therefore sand would sift down into the tunnel. My kuhli loaches have been seen in there several times since yesterdays installation but the tunnel is filling up quickly with sand and I’ve even witnessed them squeezing between the glass and the tunnel to enter. I will likely get one that sits flush against one wall of glass rather than a corner piece, even though I really loved the idea of the corner. Installation was a bit tedious, since my tank was already established and aquascaped, so I would recommend installing before adding substrate, if possible. Not a total waste but not likely to use for long. I gave 3 stars because although the piece is well constructed, the design is flawed, as I would imagine most standard aquariums will have silicone in the corners. ... show more

This product shows it to be pretty good sized. the picture is way wrong. I got this for my plecos to hide and maybe use as a breeding tunnel, but my plecos that can breed would not even get in it. Maybe the babies can use it, but not if they get over an inch long. Very Disappointed at this purchase. Will not buy again! ... show more

Originally purchased as a Christmas gift for my son's salt-water aquarium so that his shrimp could hide from the starfish and clownfish. But the shrimp didn't make it. So he placed it in his 9 gallon (I believe its 9) fresh-water aquarium for his zig-zag eel and within mere seconds...and I'm not embellishing...that eel was in the tunnel and LOVING IT! Ingenious invention! I'll see if I can take better images because the color of the tunnel and the rocks are both black and difficult to see. ... show more

I had to get two because all my tank pets use them so much. They are bigger than I thought and at first I was slightly upset. I put it in anyway and well it was a big hit with my two frogs and all the fish. Now I'm happy the fish use it. I don't think it would be nearly as nice if they didn't. They are made well. Plastic but sturdy. The fish swim in and out all the time. I only wish they came in different colors. ... show more
