I haven't used anything from Charlotte Tilbury before so I wasn't sure what to expect, let alone what to expect with this under eye cream. I can say that it visibly has an impact immediately after application. I was actually quite surprised because I was expecting that you would have to use a product like this for an extended period of time before you noticed any benefits. However, I had some fine lines that were too significantly once I added the magic eye rescue. I do have a sensitive skin under my eyes. I was a little bit worried if it was going to be problematic but I did not really notice any issues. I was careful in how much I applied and if anything, applied a little bit less than one would expect. I was quite pleased at the quality and the fact that it did not feel overly greasy. It felt quite lightweight which is very nice, and I felt like it was quite effective for a decent amount of time. I can't really say if I noticed significant improvement just yet when I'm not wearing like the lotion, but clearly, you definitely see an impact as soon as you put it on. I was debating whether I should write this for source or 5 because of the value for money. You don't get that that much in terms of quantity and it is relatively expensive. On the other hand, it is cheaper than many other larger brands. However, on an ongoing basis, I can definitely see this being a bit more on the expensive side. In any case, I ended up going with five stars because I did notice an improvement as soon as I put it on and I think that there is a good value to that.

When I ordered this Magic Eye Rescue Eye Cream from Charlotte Tilbury I was not familiar with the brand. After a bit of research, I find that she is a world renowned makeup artist who launched her skincare/makeup brand in 2013. This is a luxury line of skin care and not inexpensive, so I was surprised when the product arrived in a box with no security sticker. Inside is a beautiful glass jar with a pretty gold top, which unfortunately does not have a seal either. I do hope that the brand will address this in the near future. Regardless, this is a beautifully textured, rich and silky cream that feels sumptuous in application. I wake up every morning with puffy eyes, but a small dot of this cream under each eye takes care of that immediately. It is not to do to caffeine either, which so many creams use... This cream is using soy peptides and hydrolyzed rice brand proteins to help with puffiness. These ingredients work quickly to improve blood flow and help to drain away stagnant fluids that cause puffiness. I also like that the cream is not sticky or greasy, and it does not dry down quickly. It works beautifully with my foundation with no pilling, and it leaves the area under my eye looking more youthful and hydrated all day long. Since it does have retinol and vitamin c in it, I do make sure to use a sunscreen if I'm going out for the day, but mostly I use this at bedtime. This cream has time released retinol in it, which is a technology that allows it to work gradually and more gently. It is also using Winter Daphne Stem Cell Extract, which can tighten and firm the skin in that area, while also helping to strengthen the skin barrier. There are also plenty of ingredients for hydrating (humectants) and softening/sealing in the moisture (emollients), plus Plumeria Rubra flower extract for soothing. What I don't like about this product is the amount of ethoxylated ingredients in it. It contains 3 PEGs, polysorbate 60 and phenoxyethanol, all of which are ethoxylated. To make these ingredients, they use ethylene oxide, a known carcinogen, and the process releases a toxic byproduct called 1,4- dioxane, which is another carcinogen. If stringent purification processes are not carried out the final product can be contaminated by the toxic byproduct. Because of this, I do try to limit my use of products using ethoxylated ingredients, but since this cream is made in Switzerland, a country known for clean manufacturing, I will continue using it. Even so, I am deducting one star for their presence. Currently this 15ml jar of cream is selling for $65. It is a high end cream using expensive stem cell and retinol ingredients, plus it takes a tiny dot to cover the needed area, and refills are available for less money. Having said all that, I think the price is justified.

This Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue is richer and thicker than many eye creams I've tried, it blends in nicely and leaves the skin around my eyes smoother and more supple. The scent is mild, it smells like an unscented lotion, and it's gentle on my sensitive skin. While this is a wonderful moisturizer that left my skin feeling hydrated it hasn't yet reduced my dark circles after 2 weeks of regular use. As much as I love the moisturizing benefits of this cream, it's pricey for a cream that didn't reduce my dark circles, which is the reason I ordered it.

I’ve tried a lot of under-eye creams over the years, and Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Eye Rescue is definitely one of the more luxurious ones I’ve used. The texture is silky and rich, but not greasy—it glides on smoothly and sinks in without feeling heavy. I noticed an immediate plumping effect around my eyes, and over a couple of weeks my skin has looked smoother and more hydrated. Here’s my breakdown: Pros: – Rich, hydrating formula that instantly plumps skin – Helps reduce puffiness and soften fine lines – Works well under makeup with no pilling – A little goes a long way (you only need a small dot), assuming you already have a serum on) Cons: – Pricey for the size (0.5 oz jar doesn’t last long if used twice daily) – No protective seal on the jar, which feels less hygienic – Contains retinol and Vitamin C (great for results, but may irritate very sensitive skin) Overall, I’d say this is a splurge product, but one that actually delivers visible results. If you’re looking for smoother, more hydrated under eyes and don’t mind the luxury price tag, this is worth trying.
