Description

Stop wasting water, chemical concentrate and time with Mixes on Exit™, the clean tank spraying system from Chapin. Chapin's 97361 15-gallon ATV spot sprayer is part of our Mixes on Exit™ system. The water tank is completely separate from the concentrate tank, and it only mixes when you're applying your chemical. It's designed around two tanks – a 15-gallon water tank and a 1.33-gallon concentrate tank. The pump easily connects to your ATV/UTV/lawn tractor battery. The included lockable poly shut-off and wand provide versatile, adjustable spraying on the go. A simple mix valve control allows you to adjust the concentrate from 1 to 15 ounces per-Gallon. Its quick connect feature is an added benefit that makes changing the concentrate tanks quick and efficient. Additional concentrate tanks are available and sold separately. You can swap your chemicals out on the fly when you’re on the job. Made in the USA with global materials.

  • Great product, formula for adding multiple chemicals to mix tank.
Size: 15-Gallon
Recieved this from Chapin on how to formulate your chimical if you are mixing multiple chemicals together. MOE Test Procedure First, test how much fluid from the mix tank is used for every gallon of water sprayed. Fill the mix tank with water and weigh it. Record that weight. Hook up the mix tank to the big tank. Set the sprayer to spray at 3 oz of “chemical” per gallon, then spray a total of 8.35 lb into a bucket. 8.35 lb is an arbitrary number, but it does correspond to the exact weight of a gallon of water, which simplifies the calculation. Weigh the mix tank again and calculate how much fluid from the mix tank was used. Use the formula 128/((Total sprayed (lb))/(Chemical used (lb))-1) To find the ratio of mix tank fluid to pure water sprayed in oz/gal. Use the formula 1.45 oz/gal of xlr8 + 1 oz/gal surfactant + X oz/gal of water = Y oz/gal total Where Y is the ratio calculated in Step 6. Solve for X, the volume of water required to find the ratio between the volume of xlr8 and volume of water to use in the mix tank. The mix tank has a total volume of approximately 1.5 gal (192 oz). Use the following formula to determine the total volume of xlr8 to use in the tank: (1.45 oz/gal)/Y= Z/(192 oz) Where Z is the total volume of xlr8 to add in the tank. To calculate the volume of surfactant and water, use the same equation, but substitute 1.45 oz/gal with 1 oz/gal for surfactant, and the value X for water. ... show more

  • I love this
Size: 15-Gallon
Having something I can change out chemicals and not have to mix is awesome. I’ve got the add-on boom sprayer too. The tie straps work perfect in the bed of Polaris Ranger. I did something like 3 acres spraying weed killer. It’s easy to use. The hardest part is the power switch. I wish it came with both battery clamps and accessory plug. I’ve got a 6 passenger so hard to reach over the seat. It’s only because the boom has one option, on. If using the wand I can just leave on and the pump will turn on as needed. Only one difficulty assembling. The pump would not prime. I followed the instructions to a tee. I ended up just sucking on the sprayer until it pulled up the water. Now it works every time. I didn’t read anything about manually priming. I’m guessing the pump was so dry it couldn’t draw up the water. ... show more

  • Wonderful idea. Not quite ready for " prime time". Update 10-4-19
Size: 15-Gallon
I like being able to fill the tank with water, and the 15 gallons will allow me to spray most of the plants on one fill. I have no idea why it couldn't come assembled, but it was easy to put together. The design problem lies with the small mix tank. 1) it is impossible to know when it runs out. As long as you have water in the main tank it will keep spraying. If your mix tank is empty it is just water. 2) This is exacerbated by poor design of the mix tank. The intake should be in a deep sump so all of the mix drains. It is shallow and on a slope you will see mix in the tank but it will be sucking air. 3)There should be a spinner or visual indicator that fluid is moving in the mix tube exit hose. Because it is concentrated you can not watch the level, as it moves too slowly. I sprayed for an hour, till I realized it wasn't moving. The hose was attached properly to the mix tank. There is a shutoff when it is disconnected, perhaps it didn't open. I took it apart and re attached the hose and I could tell by some air bubbles it was moving. For most of us the sprayer is not in front of us and difficult to watch. It appears to be a well made product, but it is a pain to keep checking the mix tank. Aside from that I like it. Update: October 4 2019 I have used this about 5 times. If I could send it back I would. I couldn't tell if the mix was coming out or not. I resorted to adding spray dye so i could at least tell if i was getting any. On a "6" setting the mix tank should run out after 12-13 gallons of water. It didnt. Now I can only get a mix on the highest setting ("7"). Completely inaccurate. With the cost of ag chemicals, precision is needed. I called company support. She says we don't recommend the sprayer with dry chemicals, only liquid. WHAT? Half of the things i use , like captan for fruit trees, are granular. I don't see that in the literature. She says try rinsing it with hot water. No luck. I take it apart and clean it. The largest orifice on the mix plate is about the size of a paper clip. You think they would have a filter somewhere between the mix tank and mix valve but,NO. The valve on the mix tank that shuts off the flow when disconnected is also clogged, so it stays open, with several pieces of plastic. Gee....I didn't put plastic in the tank. Poor quality control and poor design. It is unconscionable not to have a filter to protect the mix plate orifice. So I'm back to using me 5 gallon rechargeable sprayers. At least i know the mix is accurate. ... show more
