As we age, our makeup needs to change. Heavy foundation applied on the face is actually quite aging. It's important to use something that perfects but isn't heavy, and something that doesn't look like it's sitting on top of your skin. This foundation is PERFECT! So beautiful! It is so kind to dry skin, and it makes the skin look polished but not heavily made up. It has a very skin-like look, and it is also buildable. I've been using it about 10 years, and while I have others in my collection, this is the one I will keep buying forever and it's my favorite. My skin is neutral and fair, but not ghostly pale. I have it in shade alabaster, which is the perfect neutral in winter, and then I also have it in ivory (cool) and vanilla (neutral), and I can mix the other shades in, as needed, when the seasons change. I don't recommend this if you have oily skin, but if you are dry or normal/dry, and especially if you are over 50, this is definitely something you should try. ... show more

I use this product every day. I am 55 years old, with pale skin, plenty of "life lines" (ha! wrinkles) and I STILL get compliments on my skin. This foundation gives a veil of cover that works so well with skin it looks absolutely natural. Only better. Seems to float over pores, although I've seen blog reviews that mention this product collects in pores on the top of the nose. I haven't really noticed that. What it WILL do - cover redness around the nose (which I have) and leave you with a dewy, fresh look. What it will NOT do is give heavy coverage to skin with heavy blemishes. Also, please choose your shade carefully. I went with Alabaster at first but switched to Ivory - Alabaster made me a kabuki-faced woman. Has never irritated my oh-so-sensitive skin, even after I went to bed without washing my face (yes, I did). Does it work - YES, but probably not for someone with highly oily or heavily blemished skin. Oh and the price on Amazon is ridiculous as it can be purchased from Neiman Marcus for $76. ... show more
