None of the links in the chain are welded, which is a small disappointment but not particularly a deal breaker for my needs, if you need welded links look elsewhere. I'm using them as vanilla bondage wrist restraints and in this use they are suitably comfortable, and easy enough to get out of unlike locking cuffs. This is great for beginners or for anyone who might be prone to panic when restrained. If visual appeal is of importance to you, other options may be superior for you and yours.

When you touch this chain is not smooth, my guess is that it will cheap in the near future. I can't really tell but the ones I had previously, were way better. I'll wait since I need it but if I new I would choose a different brand/seller, problem waiting to happen, hope the strength is not affected by this.

Purchased this Dog training collar/chain based on reviews in hopes that it would be as good as the claims. Unfortunately I will not be putting this collar to the test. First of all, the plastic bag that it came in was covered in some kind of oil or grease which I thought could have been from the actual chain. Upon inspecting the chain there was no oil or grease of any kind on it which made me wonder what covered the bag and why. Further inspection revealed that none of the links are welded in any way to complete the link and on most of the links the ends dont even match up, making the weak link on this chain basically all of them. I would not trust this chain to maintain its integrity while using it on any dog that has some weight or likes to pull.
