The car was super easy to assemble (just add batteries). I actually got this RC car to entertain my husky dog on the beach so he would quit bothering other dogs. I took him and the car to the beach today and he had the greatest time…so did I! It was fun learning to maneuver it and my dog had the greatest time chasing it around, whining because he was afraid of it and sometimes even barking at it. After I got the hang of it, I even had the car chasing him around. All the kids at the beach were so enamored with the car and were asking all about it. It’s super colorful because of all its lights that are constantly changing colors. What great fun!

I got this because not only is it going to be enjoyment for myself.But my dog also absolutely loves R.C cars and has a really fun time chiefing after them and biting at the wheels. This one.In particular even if it's flipped over can still run and move it makes it so much enjoyable instead of having to walk over and flip it over every two seconds. My only complaint so far.Is that the rubber looking strip around each wheel is not rubber?What'soever and it's plastic?It does not allow for much traction on hardwood floors. Other than that it still works perfectly

It's a fun toy. I appreciate the two rechargeable batteries for the car. Nice touch! Set up is simple and it's pretty fast!!!! My 4 yr old is loving it. My biggest complaint is the controls....the right/left knob goes up and down which just feels so weird and hard to control. Probably something I'll get used to but out of the box is wasn't a lot of fun. Haven't tried the wrist control and probably won't as it's not my thing but cool idea. Overall solid toy for the price. Will probably buy again once my kid destroys this one.

This gift doesn’t disappoint. So much fun for the kids (and adults). It has a decent speed and the LED lights make it look even cooler. It can go over water but it does go a little slower over the water. A great way to enjoy time with kids!

This is pretty fun to just race around on flat ground, but I ordered it because it's amphibius. I took it down to the lake to try it out. The water was admittedly rough with a decent wind, but it was able to hold its own against some decent waves. It doesn't move fast at all in water though, and the rear end seems to ride lower in the water under power (see first photo). When I got to the exit, it got stuck in the wet sand at the border between the water and the beach, so it kinda fails the true test of an amphibius vehicle (second pic). Then I moved on to climbing a hill. On the way to the hill, it tended to bottom out on rough terrain because the body hangs so low to the ground, relative to the wheel treads. On the hill it was not able to climb well. It flips end-over-end easily because it's short and the CG is right in the center. It can move either way (upside down or right side up) no problem, you just have to remember to use the controls opposite. But when it's flipping a lot, it becomes tedious, and it never made it up the hill. On smooth pavement it has a bias to one side. The remote control does not have a trim lever to adjust for this imbalance in the motors, so you have to bump the turn control once in awhile to straighten the path as it veers left or right. This also occurred in the water, but because of the wind and waves, I couldn't tell if it was the water or the motor imbalance that made it turn. The controls are also on/off. There's no modulating the speed or the turns, other than sitting right at the point where the motor turns on and rapidly tapping it on and off. The turning control is also forward/back, rather than left/right, so that takes a little getting used to. The hand control suffers from the same issue. It's either full-on running and turning, or it's off. You get used to how the control works fairly quickly. It uses gravity to sense position, so it's just a matter of holding your hand flat, facing down, to be in neutral position. Then you rock you hand in the direction you want it to go. Battery life is good. I didn't run out of battery power in my testing. It comes with two rechargeables, so you can switch to the fresh one while the spent one charges. Changing the battery isn't super easy though. You have to undo a couple of screws that are fine thread and take many turns to release or tighten. There's a gasket to seal it from the water, so you have to press the cover while turning the screws. One of the captive nuts seemed to be turning while I tried to tighten that screw, which could be a huge problem later on as it wears. It took on very little water while I was using it in the lake, so not much came out when I opened the drain. Definitely cannot give it 5 stars, but it's much better than 1 star as far as fun and battery life.

So sleek and the ability to drive on land and then seamlessly transition into water adds an extra element of excitement to the play experience. My son loves it and I plan on get one for my friends daughter whose birthday will be in two weeks. Overall it’s a great toy!
