Had to do an audio upgrade on an 01 century. Door speakers were 5.25. Confused me cause usually door speakers are like 6 or 6.5. So I searched and searched reading reviews and more reviews. These had the best reviews for the price. Cerwin vega has been around for years and still continues to make quality audio equipment. Before putting them in the car I hooked them up in my truck just to make sure they worked and all that. Wow. Was not expecting this tiny speaker to be that loud and clear. Definitely gunna get another set of these and put em in the hot rod truck cause they are so small and shallow you can nearly put them anywhere.(edit) alright about a year later almost one has finally blown on me. Idk why. I have these on an amp but turned down so they won't be over powered. Little disappointed but the time both were working they sounded amazing for sure. ... show more

The speaker seems decent. It looks like it's high quality, like the old school vegas. I am very disappointed that it didn't come with grills. The seller claimed that they did in the question section. Other than getting jipped on the grills I'm happy. Once I get them hooked up ill post a real review. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that Vegas are still one of the best. Hopefully they haven't fell off like Soundstream. ... show more

I have been a fan of CV for years my home surround sound was CV before it was stolen. So I was thrilled to find out they did car audio as well. I couldn't beat the price. I honestly didn't know what to expect but the bass that comes from the cheapest 5.25 speaker makes people think I have a small sub. Definitely looking at stepping them up a level and adding one of their subs. Amazing sound any cracks or pops were due to station or bad connection. Glad to see a company that had kept pride in it's product even years later! ... show more

Purchased these for my 88 m535is bmw as replacements as Cerwin Vega is or was top quality when I was growing up. Installed and set bass, treble,and mid bass and man they started cracking and popping, pretty much sounded blown. Thought maybe it was my radio after adjusting bass all the way out it still sounded horrible. Ordered a new Alpine Radio and even changing radios the speakers still crackle and pop and sound blown. fit my 2013 Ford Transit Connect doors and roof speakers. with ford wire connectors. They are okay for the doors (upfront) where I want a clearer sound... but horrible in the rear roof location. They weigh about half as much as the paper oem ones I took out. Hardly any bass compared to oem. I put the paper ones back in and I'm much happier. Also the magnet size of the OEM ones is a lot bigger and it almost attaches itself to the truck panels. which I liked - no rattling. ... show more
