Deck board straightener
Style: wrench
This tool is Awsome. I bought 156 16’ deck boards from my local lumber store. 90% of them were bowed. I was thinking about taking them back and decided to look for a tool that helped straighten them. It worked like a charm. I’ve put down about 130 boards and this is the easiest way to do them by myself. Best 40.00 I’ve ever spent on a tool!

if you're doing decking get one of these.
Style: wrench
There might be better designs, IDK, I've only used this one, but wow does it make straightening curved decking easy! If you're installing a deck & care at all how it will look, get one of these!

Must have
Style: wrench
We are a general contracting company and building decks is something we do a lot. This tool speeds up the process and easily aligns any crooked boards!

Will pay for itself on your first job with time saved.. Great Tool
Style: wrench
This is one of those tools that'll sit in your trailer never used until you build a deck. When you do use it, you'll love it!!! Gone are the days of hammering a chisel into the joists while trying to pull a warped deck board into place.. STOP destroying your joists and go with this instead. It makes one man installations possible at break neck speeds. Mine paid for itself halfway through my first project just in time saved.. Great Tool. ^^^^ On A side note:^^^^ I had one of these I purchased years ago, someone stole it from me and prior to my next deck job, I ordered this new one. It is a must have tool for me.

There must be something better
Style: wrench
I used this to straighten treated 1.5 x 8 Center Match boards for a deck; these are tongue and grove and dimensionaly thick (1-1/2 inches). The tool kept slipping and tilting on the deck joists when you were pulling on the handle, the little knob to adjust for joist thickness broke off, and a small corner of the orange block broke off. None of that made it unusable, just a PITA. Overall, I got the job done with it, so two stars. It is still usable, didn't have to go in the garbage. Maybe that thick wood was just too tough for this thing. It might be fine for regular 5/4 decking.
