  • Great sprayer for the money
I needed this to paint some cabinets I was installing in my kitchen. Not the full cabinets but a few places that I ended up having to cut and trim and then to touch up some areas that didn't come from the factory finished. For the money this is hard to beat. The paint went on well and I'm fully confident that any areas that aren't great looking were totally my fault. It is a pain to clean after each use, but I think that's probably the case with any paint sprayer. I'd get something nicer if I was a pro, but if you need to do a few spray jobs or just use it every now and again it's a great purchase. ... show more

  • Cant go wrong
Having owned 4 and 5 stage turbine's, Titan pressure pots, 2 kremlin AAA set ups and multiple cup guns this is by far the best bang for your buck, assuming a couple things: You aren't spraying an entire kitchens worth of cabinets or you're not in a super rush to lay down mass amounts of material. The only real issue with this gun is the fan size dial is a total joke. The reason I only gave it four stars. What it can do is spray literally anything, marine topcoats, waterbased urethanes of commercial grade, oil based paints, and anything in between. It is a bit slow going with the gun but it is easy to clean, easy to use and is perfect for site touch ups of anything, using just a small job site compressor. Only other thing to do is to ditch the white plastic washer at bottom of cup and just use teflon on thread instead. Also ditch the useless filter that goes in cup too. It restricts gravity flow and you should be using a cone filter into the cup anyhow. ... show more

  • Doesn't come with disassembly wrench... and first thing they tell you to do is disassemble it.
I haven't yet used this. I read the manual (where I learned it purposely does not include a disassembly wrench... but says you must first disassemble and clean). Everything was very tight. I had to use channel locks to loosen the first part... which should have been finger tight. I had to fabricate a wrench to remove the next part (and wasn't successful... it couldn't be tighter if they used lock-tight). I looked for a wrench on Amazon. Found one for nearly twice the price of this gun... and that was the cheapest one. Noticed it was a Harbor Freight product so checked them for a wrench. Didn't find it but did discover it costs $14 there. You win some, you lose some. I was just trying to save on using spray cans for a small job. ... show more

  • Excellent and a steal at this price!
This has to be the best sprayer on the market for the price. I purchased it after reading a positive review on a blog about it. They used it for Annie Sloan chalk paint, which is also what I wanted to use it for primarily. If you're familiar with AS paint then you know it's rather thick. I can attest that there was no need to water this paint down, and it came through the sprayer like butter! It provides a very smooth finish and blends very well if you touch up or add multiple coats. I have much more expensive spray guns, but this one is truly the best. You will need to purchase the piece that connects the sprayer to an air compressor (about $1 at the hardware store), as that is not included. ... show more
