  • A fantastic set for beginners.
Quiet, easy to use, and great build quality. The compressor has no tank, so it has to run pretty much constantly when actually spraying, but as stated, it’s incredibly quiet, and has rubber feet that do a great job at damping vibrations. I use this in an apartment, and have no issue running it late at night. It’s actually quieter then the smoke absorbing filtration fan I use to catch overspray. It’s easy to set up and use, as everything connects neatly together in a pretty self explanatory way. Beginners may find that the hardest part about using this airbrush is cleaning up when you’re done. Which you should do every time. Simply unscrew and disassemble every part of the brush, and wipe excess paint off with a cleaning solution. Take care when cleaning the needle, as the tip is incredibly thin, and can be bent easily. Build quality is very nice. The fittings for the two gravity feed brushes (the all metal ones) fit very nicely together, and the threading and overall machining is very precise. The siphon feed brush (black plastic) is noticeably lower quality in terms of material, but after all, it’s injection molded plastic. That doesn’t affect the spray quality however, as the siphon nozzle is machined metal (brass I think). This brush is best used for thicker paints, or paints with metallic/metal flake finish, as the particulates won’t clog the nozzle as easily. Overall, this kit is a great buy for anyone who is looking to get into airbrushing, but doesn’t want to spend a large amount of money for a full on professional rig. This kit provides great and reliable quality at a reasonable price, so you can build up your skill and knowledge. Most airbrush equipment is interchangeable and uses 1/8 inch threading, so this kit is effectively upgradable down the line, and you could replace the compressor, hose, brush, etc as needed. I’ve already added some universal quick disconnect couplers to the three brushes and the line, as well as an additional in-line moisture trap at the end of the hose. • Nice kit for a beginner, or a returning casual user.
I purchased this kit to airbrush some 8" models with my daughter. I haven’t done this since I was a kid, and just wanted a fairly inexpensive setup for our needs. TLDR: Very happy with the purchase. Does exactly what we want, was up and running within minutes, and performs exactly as we need for small model painting. If I was doing anything bigger/grander, this may not be the kit I would choose. Then again I’d be looking at more professional equipment. More detail: The box arrived as if I just picked it up from a store. The box was closed, but no exterior shipping box, and it wasn’t taped shut. That said, everything arrived in perfect condition. Other than the compressor, everything comes in its own case/sleeve. The starter kit of acrylics, thinner, and cleaner solution is a nice touch. Don’t expect a lot of performance from the compressor. It’s quiet, has a gauge, regulator, and moisture trap. When turned on it caps out around 60 PSI and stops (does not run continuously when not in use). The regulator is a cheaper plastic version that you pull the nob to unlock, turn to the desired setting, then push to lock in place. It works well enough and is expected at this price point. When spraying, it can keep a consistent 25-30 PSI. This is fine for the paints I’m using. I figure if I need more consistent pressure at a higher PSI, I’ll pop this on my larger pancake compressor and reserve tank (where I have a better regulator, etc). Took about 20 minutes from unboxing until we were starting our first model. Expect to play with the compressor settings and the airbrush to tune it to where you can feel comfortable to start on a project. In our case we started with the G22 and needed to adjust (as expected) the needle until the desired flow was achieved. We were playing with some acrylic we purchased from a local store, and had to play with thinning it to the right consistancy too. We practiced on a piece of cardboard until we felt it was setup well enough, then got to work. If we were using this on a more regular basis, or larger projects, I would definitely look to a more professional kit. If you’re like me, and you just want a simple setup for the occasional model, 3D print, and other small objects, then this kit may be worth a try. ... show more

  • Easy to use.
I bought this for my craft room. After practicing with it for a few hours It was easier to use. I have done a lot of projects with it. Small and large! I have even repainted frames. They came out very well. I am on my third set of paints.

  • My first airbrush
Still on the learning curve but this set seems a good value for the money. My only complaint is that the instruction book is super simple and doesn't get into the details of using the three different airbrushes. I am having to figure it out on my own and looking for YouTube videos. The quality seems very good. However, the cleaner that comes in the set is not good. I bought a bottle of Createx cleaner after reading reviews and the Createx cleans the airbrush with one pass through. The one in the bottle is much less effective. ... show more

  • Not bad
This is the second airbrush I've bought in 20 years. The first one was a really cheap one, and it was a bit junky, and that was back in like 2005. This one seems to be decently well made. I'd say if you're new to airbrush this is a good starter. Just make sure you buy plenty of airbrush cleaner, and make sure you clean it after each use. I dropped the pressure to 20 psi and have used it for a couple of hours so far with the paint that came with it and no clogs so far. It sputters a little bit from time to time, so maybe I need to clean it better, but it definitely gets the job done. It is a bit cool outside at the moment, so maybe it likes the cooler temps, but I haven't had any issues. The only problem was a paint bottle had a broken lid, but no spilling, so I replaced the cap with the one from the small cleaner bottle that comes with the set. I bought a bigger bottle of cleaner anyway so if it goes bad oh well. All in all I'd say if you plan on spraying small projects or using it for art pieces it should be fine. ... show more
