We do a lot of remodeling at our residential rentals and we go through a LOT of paintbrushes. I’ve bought more expensive ones, but employees have done a poor job of cleaning them, so they have had to be thrown away. I ordered these because at least if they will be considered more disposable, the cost saving is phenomenal. Boy, was I wrong about the quality of the brushes. I expected them to be like the under cheap natural bristle brushes. They definitely aren’t like those at all. I’ve had no trouble with cutting in interior semigloss paint with these angle brushes. The bristles stay well shaped after cleaning them and the handles allow for a nice grip. What I like best is that they clean up very nicely. I will definitely be ordering more of these. ... show more

These paint brushes worked really well for small painting projects. The bristles hold paint nicely and don’t shed easily. They were comfortable to hold and made painting smoother. Great value for getting multiple brushes in one pack.

For an inexpensive brush, these work well with oil or water based paints. Very little shedding (had 1 hair fall off so far), smooth finish and cleans easily. Would have upgraded if the bristles held paint better. Not used yet foe stain or varnish.

I have to say, I was genuinely impressed with this Bates 6-pack paint brush set. When I ordered them, I expected something basic given the low price, but these brushes absolutely exceeded my expectations in both quality and performance. Right out of the package, you can tell these are not cheaply made. The treated wood handles feel solid and comfortable in your hand, giving you a good grip and control whether you’re doing detailed trim work or covering larger areas. They don’t feel flimsy or lightweight like a lot of budget brush sets tend to, which immediately stood out to me. The bristles are another big highlight. They hold paint very well and distribute it evenly, making the application smooth and consistent. I didn’t experience any heavy streaking or uneven coverage, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to get a clean, professional-looking finish. Even better, there was very minimal shedding. That’s something I always worry about with new brushes, but these held up really well without leaving stray bristles behind in the paint. What I really like about this set is the variety of sizes included. It gives you flexibility for different types of projects without having to go out and buy multiple individual brushes. Whether you’re cutting in edges, painting trim, or working on furniture, you’ve got the right tool ready to go. It’s a very practical set to have on hand.
