Bought this in March and it just randomly broke in October. The plastic ring just popped out when I put my phone on it the same as I usually do. It's a decent stand but don't pay too much for it. When you first get it, the holder part can be tilted up and it will hold its tilt. Over time it loosens and your device can no longer be tilted up. ... show more

i love this thing

i got this because i’m recovering from surgery and i wanted to use it in bed. i was concerned from other reviews it wouldn’t be sturdy enough because im not using it on a solid surface like a desk. however it has been great. holding up my phone or ipad has been such a chore. especially since while i was in the hospital they took a zillion labs and my arms are bruised and sore from being stuck so many times. it holds up my iphone 13 pro max and ipad gen 3 or 5 or 7 or whatever dang gen i have, haha well whichever. it’s big with a hefty case cause im clumsy and it holds it great. and yes i can push on it and it doesn’t fall over. change apps and things and it’s fine. my phone has a case too. not as hefty. it angles great so i don’t have to move my head too much. which means a lot to me since i had brain surgery. is it super sturdy on a bed? no. but it’s not meant to be used in this way so i get it. i place something with a little weight on the base like my weighted eye mask or wrap a bit of blanket around it and it’s just fine. but really does work great for my needs. better than i expected honestly. i just needed to be able to watch some shows while recovering from major surgery. and not have to hold anything or crane my neck too much. so i can only imagine it works even better for its actual purpose on a solid surface. which it does btw. i have also it used on the table while eating. also can’t beat the price! i got it on the deal for 7.99. if you’re on the fence. buy it now! ... show more

Good Phone Stand, but the Build Isn't What I Expected

This stand works well for its intended purpose. It offers a good range of height and angle adjustments, making it comfortable for video calls, reading, or keeping a phone visible while working at a desk. The adjustment mechanism holds its position well, and the silicone pads help keep the phone from slipping. That said, the construction wasn't quite what I expected. The product description mentions "sprayed aluminum," but the stand doesn't feel like a solid aluminum product. The main structure appears to be ABS with a metallic finish, while the base contains a metal plate that adds some stability. It looks nice, but it doesn't have the weight or feel of an all-metal stand. The base is stable enough for a smartphone, which is clearly what this stand is best suited for. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable using it with a larger tablet, especially in portrait orientation, because the base isn't heavy enough to inspire much confidence. Overall, it's a good, functional stand for everyday smartphone use.
