I love this rain suit! For the 4/5 size range, there's a lot of one-piece suits but not a lot of two-piece suits like this one, so I was thrilled about that to begin with (shoving this kid into a one-piece is not an easy task). The material seems nice and durable, while still being small/light enough to pack up small and bring with us. The hood has elastic around the edge to make it a snug-to-the-face fit, which seems to annoy him less than having a hood with an overhang that then blocks his vision and he gets sick of it and then...no more hood. From my own experience with hoods, this might mean that on a girl with a ponytail you might have not quite enough room in the hood for the hair, but on a boy or a girl with either short hair or a low ponytail or something, I think it's a good feature.

Accidentally ordered this in a 6/7 the first time.. it almost fit my 9 year old! Returned that, that took the full two week time frame. Ordered the size 5, fits more like a 6/7. I think I’m going to keep this size so it will fit him for a couple years. The pants go up about 4 inches past his belly button, but don’t fall off his hips when he jumps up and down. The coat also hangs WAY past his butt. I’m wondering now if I’m just not feeling like dealing with return stuff again because rainy season is pretty much here. Because really, it just is to big. I’ll bet the size under will fit him next year too. Back to edit my review. I ended up sending back the 6/7 and ordering the size under. Fits much nicer!

We live in an Alaskan rainforest so actual waterproof gear is a necessity! It’s been 1 year since I ordered these and I got my 3, 8, and 9 year olds all a set (my 3 year old got the bodysuit style though) and I have nothing but good things to say about this brand. I’m just sad my now 10.5 yr old has outgrown hers and they don’t make bigger sizes than 10 so I have to try and find something to fit her that I like as much as these. Highly recommend

This is a great rain suit. My daughter goes to outdoor preschool 3 mornings a week here in the Pacific NW, she gets rained on A LOT, she always comes home nice & dry. It’s mid March 2021 & she’s been wearing it since late September 2020, it has held up really well. It’s not warm like a snow suit, we layer underneath it. I would say it runs fairly big, my daughter is a tall 4 year old & normally wears girls size 6 clothing, the 3/4T suit still fits her comfortably, I will probably size up for next school year (Sept. 2021). It says it’s machine washable but I’ve only put it through once when she rolled in some mud, mostly I just wipe it off.

The quality for the price is great! I looked at similar quality rain gear in other brands and the price was double that of this set. I am very happy overall with this set. But a few complaints with the hood and the Velcro on the wrists. The hood my toddler refuses to keep on. Other rain coats we have he has no problem keeping the hoods on. This one is too tight as it has elastic along the edge. It also has no brim to keep rain off his face like his other coats. Also would prefer a hood that is permanently attached to the coat. This one is attached with buttons, seem like it will just get lost. While I would still consider buying again for the value. I would first try to find just the rain bibs/pants and get a different coat.

I love that this slips on over the top of other clothes, easily allowing for warmer or cooler layers underneath to suit the time of year and outdoor temperatures. I can use this as a snowsuit with thermals and fleece underneath, or just as a rain-cover over short sleeves and jeans on a damp spring or fall day.
