This is a really nice bee suit. 3 layered mesh. Very thick and well made! Has metal zippers, big plus! instead of the plastic one that jam all the time. Also comes with two head mask! No suit comes with two, that I have seen. Gloves are soft leather so you can easily pick frames up! Just a word about sizes. I fist ordered a XL that said for height 70-72 inches tall. I'm 72 inches tall, 180 lbs. Thinking they run small let most stuff from China. (doesn't say it comes from there, but I figured it did) When it came I tried it on, and way too big. I sent it back, and got a large and it fits perfectly! So for the money best suit you will buy! Should last a long time! Recommend! 100% you will like it!

I've been a backyard beekeeper for several years and have made do with second hand equipment and suits. I've always thought a ventilated suit would be nice because it gets so hot here but never felt like I could justify the expense. This suit has wonderful little touches, including velcro closures over the potential entry points at the neck, the fencing veil that also opens at the front so (well away from the hive) i can take a quick drink of water if I need, the zippers at the legs so I can pull the legs over my boots if I'd rather, OR use the stirrups to help get the pantlegs inside the boot, etc. I worried the ventilation would compromise the protection, but this is thick three layer fabric, two layers of mesh with a thick grid-like layer in the middle. Could I get stung? Sure, inevitably a bee will find a way, but the last couple trips out I have not been stung through the suit, and I love feeling the breeze! I also like the option in the veils. The fencing veil is my favorite for keeping bees off the top of my head, but I like the option to have the round hat also as that's better for keeping them away from my face, where they prefer to congregate. The gloves are nice quality but I honestly probably won't use them. I think they might be one size fits all, as I don't see a size tag in them, and while the leather feels like it's great quality, it doesn't give me enough dexterity. I typically go gloveless anyway so this isn't a deal breaker for me. Two complaints about the suit: I wish the top of the round hat veil were also made of the same ventilated material. It's a single layer of thinner canvas and I'd like to have a little extra protection for my scalp. Also, I wish the sleeves had velcro closures and not just elastic. The elastic is not quite snug enough on its own and since I don't wear gloves, i've taken to putting rubber bands around the sleeves. Elastic also doesn't last long in our climate and a velcro closure would alleviate that problem. Right now, I'm just thrilled to not be sweating buckets in my bee suit!

I ordered this suit even though I am right at the upper limits on the size chart at XXL An XXXL might be a better fit, this one is just a little snug in the height and girth. The gloves also are XXL and are a bit tight but usable. I would order XXXL if ordering again. The suit does provide good protection, it is heavy (to be expected) and thick enough for the job. The fencing veil is too small as it rubs against my nose and face and I've gotten stings from much looser veils in the past. But the round veil works very well, there is no danger of face, nose, or ears being close enough to the mesh for a sting. The only weakness I have found is zippers. All the zippers need to be just a bit heavier, I'm not sure if these zippers would hold up to regular use of the suit but are probably OK for occasional use. All in all, this suit is adequate for me, at least as an alternate with my other protective equipment. If it had heavier zippers, it would merit five stars.

I'm not a bee keeper but it is a hobby and art that i've always admired and took interest in. Instead I got this bee keeper suit to tend to a problem I've been having on my farm for the last couple of years, and that's the invasive and aggressive wasp problem. I got tired of paying an exterminator to have to come every other month and decided to treat them myself. I've gotten stung many times as a result, which can be extra hazardous while on a ladder trying to treat a wasp nest, so I got this suit to wear to keep me protected while doing my duty. The suit is a nice quality and very light weight. So light weight that I thought I ripped it while coming off a ladder. But it's still in one piece, and so far no stings to report!

This beekeeping suit has great ventilation and comes with two different hat choices which I really like. Compared to my old suit this is definitely better at keeping me cool in my 90 degree bee days. It worked well for me in terms of safety, I extracted honey from multiple hives with no stings. I would suggest to order a size up. I ordered my normal size large and it was a little tight. Also, I am 6’1” and it was almost too short for me, as you can see in my photo it was tight looking. The gloves are standard, nice quality. I would definitely recommend this for those working closely with bees, especially in the warmer weather.

This is a complete kit head to ankles with two hoods. I'm 5'7' slight and ordered a large and it's just a bit big but certainly wearable. The zippers are well made with o rings to make it easier to grab. One hood is already attached. The gloves are on the bigger size but usable. Two velcro pockets on the chest, two open pockets in the pants and two in the back. Plenty of room for stuff. The fabric feels kind of heavy, more than single layer, but the air just flows through this suit. I got it not to tend to bees but get after the yellow jackets and wasps that just love our house, our barn and every every other place on our property. This will give me the extra protection and "spray and pray" ( and run ) is no longer going to be part of my routine. There is no way they can get into this suit but could only get you if the suit is right against your skin. Because its kind of loose, I have no fear. I'm impressed with this and really think it's a bargain at this price. PS. My wife laughs like crazy when I put it on to go kill the yellow jackets..... It looks like a cross of Buzz Lightyear, some goofy astronaut and just a plain fool. I love it anyway.
