  • I love the product, and I have three for different applications.
Size: 1/2" Style: 30-250 ft.lbs Pattern Name: Wrench
I am not usually a brand loyalist, but this is my third CDI product. I did not have any issues with the two smaller ones, and this one will fill the gap for the higher torque applications.

  • Excellent 3/8" Torque Wrench Choice!
When I was looking to add a couple torque wrenches to my tool kit, I was a little concerned about this less-than-reviewed model. Turns out, there was nothing to be concerned about. As you're probably aware, shopping for a torque wrench, quality matters. CDI is kind of an off-shoot of the well recognized SnapOn brand, but at a comparatively less expensive price. This was the grade I was going for...somewhere in between a cheap tool (better than say, Craftsman) and less the professional mechanic option...and this one has fit the bill. When you start considering where torque wrenches begin and end in their capabilities, it's important to have a good range. It's also well known that torque wrenches are more accurate in the middle of their specified range, less so at the ends of the rated ranges. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so more than likely, you're looking at least two torque wrenches if you're going to work on a vehicle...the most common application for a torque wrench. For me, the two torque wrenches I settled on were a CDI 30-250 foot pound 1/2" drive 2503MFRPH and this CDI 10002MRPH. This unit gets me from around 12 foot pounds up to about 80 foot pounds, values commonly found on smaller bolts and nuts. The other wrench gets me upwards of 50 foot pounds up to a good 200 foot pounds, used for larger nuts, lug nuts and bolts. I've found that they compliment each other quite well and really don't have anything that I haven't been able to torque with the ranges these two wrenches provide. As far as accuracy, I don't have any professional testing equipment or anything...but it feels about right to me. I've torqued plenty of bolts that hold liquids and haven't had leaks or strips, as well as precision torquing on things like hubs without issue. So I guess that's what really matters...results, right? Some people might find it a pain to convert to inch pounds, when most everything is stated in foot pounds...but I convert it once, write it down in my maintenance manual and never have to figure it out again. My certification sticker was about 6 months old when I purchased, so I imagine it sat on a shelf for awhile...but six months wasn't going to bother me. It's held up for more than a year with good care and I don't see any problems in the future, aside from maybe a recalibration every once in awhile. Overall, I think this is a good choice for a value priced, low to medium strength torque wrench. If you're looking to fill out that lower range, don't overlook this model. Edit: I also added the 1/4" drive 20-150 in/lb to my tool kit as well. When I acquired my ATV, I needed some lighter torque, so this was a perfect driver for this application. I was glad to see these CDI wrenches still being sold! My wrenches have held up for many years now, too! ... show more

  • Great torque wrench for the price.
Size: 1/2" Style: 30-250 ft.lbs Pattern Name: Wrench
Without breaking the bank, great torque wrench. I’m not into the fancy digital versions, I prefer the old school click type. Bought this one for my sons tool box. Now he has his own!

  • A nice addition for the tool box
Size: 1/2" Style: 30-250 ft.lbs Pattern Name: Wrench
The selector for the forward/reverse ratchet is positive- but must be positioned fully to one side or the other (this has a wider swing from Fwd to Rev positions). It includes a center position in which there is no ratchet movement allowed, if one desires such a mode. The center button must be depressed to attach/release the socket- a very positive feature that prevents disengagement of the socket. Very easy to adjust and comes with a certification sheet. One disappointing feature is the scale engraving: it is laser etched- appears "light grey" and not of a highly contrasting color (e.g., black)! Adequate lighting may be required, depending on your eye sight. It is still a good buy- reliable and at a reasonable price. ... show more

  • Good quality, second CDI torque wrench and no regrets
Size: 1/2" Style: 20-150 ft.lbs Pattern Name: Wrench
This is my second CDI torque wrench. I tried buying a couple cheaper brands and ended up returning them straight away. This 30-150 ft LB torque wrench is easy to adjust and use. It comes with a calibration certificate, and it has a reasonable level of accuracy.

  • What an awesome deal. CDI doesn't seem like a name brand
Size: 1/2" Style: 30-250 ft.lbs Pattern Name: Wrench
What an awesome deal. CDI doesn't seem like a name brand, but right on the box it says "CDI, a Snap-On brand" The fit and finish on this is very nice. feels like a quality tool. The calibration sheet that it came with was an excellent touch. definetly makes it feel like you got WAY more than you paid for. I have no way of verifying its accuracy but if the calibration sheet is true, it is much more accurate than advertised. I was a little nervous when I ordered this because at one spot in the specs it listed the max torque as 250 in-lbs, and then 250 ft-lbs in another. I definitely needed this to be able to go above 200 ft-lbs so I was nervous to see what the actual story was. Turns out it goes all the way up to 250FT-LBS or 3000 IN-LBS!! The case is pretty decent as well. My only complaint would be that you can't store the wrench at its lowest setting, like your supposed to. the cases interior dimensions are a tad short, so you end up screwing the handle in to about 60 ft-lbs before it actually fits in the case. If I really wanted to, I'm sure a couple seconds with a utility knife would get me all the room I needed. Would definitely buy again. Will definitely tell everyone I know to Buy this if they need it. ... show more

  • High Quality and great range
Used daily and thus far love it. Only part that I don't like is the reversing lever has a lock still feature in the middle that the ratchet head part of the tool loves to find.
