Description

The Crampbuster provides a way for comfortable throttle control, and dramatically reduces the wrist fatigue often caused by long rides. It doesn't lock the throttle on and installs with no tools, just slide it on, it rotates forward with ease yet when downward pressure is applied by your hand, the throttle is regulated effortlessly without squeezing. There are no moving parts or tools required. It works on the principle of an oil filter wrench. Simply stretch it open and snap it on the outside of your grip. It will rotate clockwise (upward for adjustment) but when turned counter clockwise (downward) by the weight of your palm it pinches and the throttle is pulled open. To accelerate, simply lift it a little (causing it to rotate up clockwise) then rest your palm back on it. To decelerate, simply spin it up clockwise completely around until it comes up into a position a little lower than before. It can also be used as a rest for you left hand. Oversized version fits grips 1-3/8 inches and larger in diameter and has shorter and wider palm rest.

  • This is my second one and I love it.
I installed one of these YEARS ago on my 2012 R1200GS and it works extremely well. It stays on, it does the job, really helps when / if I get a cramp or if my hand gets tired. Then, last spring, I got a 2023 K1600GTL! I thought, "OK, this thing has cruise control. No need for a crampbuster.". Well, cruise control is great and all. But, for those moments where you just want a quick stretch or if you're in a situation where cruise control isn't a good idea and would make for a poor life decision, this crampbuster is the perfect solution. It's cheap and simple and makes a world of difference. On a side note, I have this installed on my K1600GTL with the grip puppies over the hand grips. Fits fine with no issues. My R1200GS? I have it installed with out the grip puppies. Also fits fine with out issues. ... show more

  • Does what it says it does very competently, doesn't detract from bike both lookswise and comfortwise
I've had this on my Z650RS for about 6 months. I've used it only a handful of times. Most of my riding is around town for short commute-type trips where I don't find something like this useful. I've used it every time I get on one of the highways and I always find it comfortable and helpful. Before buying this I was looking at the Atlast throttle lock which is really nice and I'm sure worth the $150 for someone who uses it often. They are only similar products in that they make cruising at a certain speed easier and both can help with cramping... other than that they are clearly completely different products... however I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for a cruise-like solution try this before investing that kind of money on an Atlas. So far it looks like it did the first day I put it on, hopefully it's durable when exposed to the sun as much as it is, but if it's not given the price I will definitely buy again. highly recommended. ... show more

  • Effective
Simple and effective. Helps keep my hand good for long rides. The band did flatten the foam on my grip however so it looks bad when I take it off.

  • Definitely a Wrist Saver
I’ve used these type throttle pieces in the past when I didn’t have a cruise control. After each trip, you may have to adjust it, but that’s easy. It won’t slide down while in use. It moves out of position when it is pushed up. So, it does a great job at saving my wrist.

  • Works for thick grips but...
My Royal Enfield has thicker grips and with the addition of the foam puppies, I needed the same plastic palm rest that I have on other bikes but bigger to allow for the extra thickness (1"3/8 diameter). These do the trick and fit perfectly. The only major complaint I have is that the piece of plastic you rest your hand on is 100% flat and does not contour to the shape of your hand palm as all the others for standard grips do. So, it is not as comfortable and I don't know how it will feel on long rides. ... show more

  • Product solves hand cramps as advertised
Easy install, stays in place, price point is great. Looks good and does not distract from the appearance of the bike.
