Description

The Crampbuster provides a way for comfortable throttle control, and dramatically reduces the wrist fatigue often caused by long rides. It doesn't lock the throttle on and installs with no tools, just slide it on, it rotates forward with ease yet when downward pressure is applied by your hand, the throttle is regulated effortlessly without squeezing. There are no moving parts or tools required. It works on the principle of an oil filter wrench. Simply stretch it open and snap it on the outside of your grip. It will rotate clockwise (upward for adjustment) but when turned counter clockwise (downward) by the weight of your palm it pinches and the throttle is pulled open. To accelerate, simply lift it a little (causing it to rotate up clockwise) then rest your palm back on it. To decelerate, simply spin it up clockwise completely around until it comes up into a position a little lower than before. It can also be used as a rest for you left hand. Oversized version fits grips 1-3/8 inches and larger in diameter and has shorter and wider palm rest.

    • Bust those throttle hand cramps on long rides. This thingy works!
No cruise control on my motorcycle, so this little gizmo is really helpful for easing hand cramps on the throttle side. At about $10, I wasn't so sure about this, but it works well. High quality black plastic slips over your throttle and lets the beefy part of the palm of your hand keep the speed steady while allowing you to moved your fingers around (no numb fingers!). Comes with a rubber band to make the device fit more snugly if needed. Will probably need to futz with it over several rides to find just the right position (whether in or out/forward or back) to get just the right fit for your hand palm comfort. Clever, cheap, really works. This model (look at the photo) is flush left with an offset to the right and fits farther to the end of your throttle. There is also a model that is made to fit closer toward the middle of your throttle (the left side looks like the right side instead of being flush left). I prefer this one. If you can't get a throttle boss that bolts to the end of your grip I wold use one of these. It's a fast and cheap aid to prevent hand fatigue.

Simple to install and adjust while on the road. My grips are wide on a 2024 Goldwing so I can move inward to get off the rest or outward to get off the rest. I’ve been on a 40 day trip and it has saved my hand when the cruise control is not appropriate. I do find it “out of place” when I return to my bike sometimes. I believe this is due to imbeciles grabbing my throttle. ... show more

Such an inexpensive solution and value. Only need for longer rides, so didnt want a permanent CC. Was perfect for my KLE500. Posted in the outer edge of the grip, and when not in use, with the outside of my hand, slide it right off and onto the outer margin of my grip connecting the bark busters. Didn't work as I had hoped on my Hayabusa sport bike. Had to adjust it on the ride. I can see where it may work on a cruiser

    • Great aid for throttle control
This throttle aid really helps to reduce the amount of grip needed to keep the throttle in position for longer trips. My right hand is more relaxed since it doesn't have to grip the throttle so hard. It is a great low cost option for better throttle control.

    • Does what it advertises
Does what it says on the box Installation is beyond easy and takes a total of 10 seconds. I really love these things and find them useful for virtually all aspects of riding, not just for helping take some strain off your wrist during highway cruising. But like virtually anything else, I can see how some might not like it. For 10 bucks and 10 seconds of installation, it's worth giving a try. The only thing I question about the instructions is that it says the use of the included rubber-band is "optional" if the fit is loose to give the plastic loop something to bite down on. I don't see how this thing would function very well or very reliably if you didn't let it ride on top of that rubber band. I've got some pretty thick grips and even with mine, the plastic piece would just flip around losey-goosey without using it. ... show more
