Is this fence strong enough to hold cattle and horses? Yes. It’s made of 14-gauge heavy galvanized steel wire with twist-knot weaving. The tightly twisted vertical and horizontal wires provide strong resistance to loosening and sagging, even when cattle, horses, or deer lean against it. Will it rust if left outside year-round in rainy weather? No. The fence is hot-dip galvanized with a heavy zinc coating for excellent rust and corrosion resistance. It withstands rain, snow, humidity, and sun exposure, offering long-lasting outdoor durability. Can I cut it to size? What tools do I need? Yes. It can be cut with heavy-duty wire or bolt cutters. Bend back or cap the cut ends for safety. Thanks to the twist-weave construction, the mesh stays secure after cutting and won’t unravel. Can this keep out small animals like rabbits, chickens, or dogs? Yes. The graduated mesh narrows from about 6" at the top to 2" at the bottom. The tighter lower spacing helps keep rabbits, chickens, raccoons, and small dogs from squeezing through. What posts do I need to install this fence? Is it hard to install? It works with standard T-posts, U-posts, or wooden posts. For a 164 ft roll, place posts every 8–10 ft. Unroll, secure with fence clips or wire ties, and stretch tight. Two people can usually install it in a few hours.
