I finally broke down and bought a small carrier (instead of the large dog crate) to take my cats to the vet. It seems nice and fits my large orange tabby who needs to go for $123 per month arthritis shots. The zippers work well and he can see.

    • Cats that hate to travel don't hate this carrier
It fit my 15 pound cat perfectly for a 4 hour move. It is airy with plenty of screen space so cats don't feel as trapped. In fact, to get my cat to stop meowing, I unzipped one of the huge panels and that worked; he was quiet the whole rest of the move. Another cat did get sick and the clean-up was easy enough as the pad unsnaps from its base and can be thrown in the washer. ... show more

We have 2 cats, and needed something smaller than the carrier we use for both of them. This is a good size to carry one cat to the vet, or out in the car. It zips up well, and has a sturdy insert for the base with a cover that can be removed and washed. It folds flat so it doesn't take up much room to store. The one star is there was a part on one of the mesh "windows" that looked like something hot touched it, and we would have preferred having an option other than camo design. Otherwise, this looks like it will meet our needs, and it would probably even work for smaller, light-weight dogs. ... show more

It's a bit taller than a standard cloth carrier, which is a plus. It also has a spacious zippered pocket for storage, and a strong carrying strap. I would recommend this product.

    • Great way to transport our cat
This carrier folds flat when not in use. Our cat is a little nervous when he must be transported by car to the vet, but this helps. Have used it several times with our 14 pound rescue cat and is responding well to it.

    • Top zipper too small to fit a large cat
It is durable and sturdy but the top zipper opening is too small to fit a cat bigger than a kitten while the weight limit states it can hold a larger cat. I had to turn it on the side to slowly lower it to the horizontal position. The reason I bought this was for the top zipper because it is easier to put a screaming cat in the top than the side. ... show more
