Got the white 50ft variant. Ignoring the poor "photoshop clone tool" image, this cable performed well in my environment. The cable came with the best RJ45 plastic cable end caps I've ever received in with a cable and would be usefully if you're constantly traveling with this cable. The cable didn't have any odor unlike other ethernet cables I've receieved before. The jacket seemed pretty durable and decently flexible (about the thinner axis). The cable has "CAT8 FLAT CABLE 25/40GBase-T 2000MHz" printed on it. I only have the ability to test to up to 10gb transfer speeds. I tested the cable between my PCs 10gb NIC (OWC Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock) to my server (Intel X520-T2) hosting OpenSpeedTest (with a 10gb switch in between) and I got the same typically transfer speeds compared to a known good 10gb-capable cable. I've recently learned that the Thunderbolt 3 protocol has some quirks when using both DisplayPort and a 10gb ethernet networking at the same time. The gist of it is that the DisplayPort signal takes priority over 10gb networking since networking has the ability to have a temporary buffer where as the DisplayPort protocol doesn't have a buffer and needs to be sent ASAP. Since I'm running a DisplayPort monitor (4K at 60Hz) though the Thunderbolt 3 dock at the same time when running the network speed test, the download gets close to 10gb while the upload gets significantly less, which is why I can't fully confirm if it the upload would also get 10 gb, but it definitely supports at least 5gb. As always, when doing testing it's dependent on a lot of things like hardware, compatibility, software versions, environment, etc. so I can only provide one data point.

This 50ft Cat8 Ethernet cable exceeded expectations right out of the box. It feels well-made and durable, yet it's impressively thin and flexible, which made it easy to route around corners, under rugs, and behind furniture for a clean setup. The flat design is a huge plus for keeping things tidy, especially in home offices or entertainment setups. Despite its slim form factor, the shielding is solid and seems to provide great protection against interference, ensuring a stable and consistent connection. The cable is quite heavy (in a good way) meaning that it is of high quality and will last.I was able to get high-speed performance through this cable - a total of 10gbps over copper, and everything from large file transfers to online gaming and streaming ran flawlessly. It plugged in easily, even in tight port groupings, thanks to the narrow plug design. For anyone needing a long, high-performance Ethernet cable that’s easy to manage and blends into its surroundings, this is an excellent choice. Great value for the quality and performance you get.

CAT 8 is always a bit inflexible. Yes, you get longer runs at higher speeds, but it's harder to run the cable because of the stiffer gauge wire. The flat profile cables do help and make it easier to run the cable, and I do prefer them to the round profile. This is not a luxury cable - this is a cable you run through unfinished spaces where it won't be seen, and it works just fine. Plus the cable is marked with the grade, which I always encourage makers to do. I don't want to have to guess what a cable is a few years later. Tested at my max network speed of 10GbE, the cable performed nominally with no unexpected drops or retries.

We recently moved to a big city where there are dozens of Wi-Fi networks that show up in our “available networks” list and I always feel better about keeping certain network devices (smart TV, NAS, etc ) on a physical network. This means that sometimes we need to run cables throughout the house and standard cables cause bumps in the carpet and don’t sit well when run across doorway thresh holds. These flat cables are perfect for these situations. They go under carpets and are practically undetectable. I can run them along baseboards and slide them under thresh holds to prevent being tripped over. For installations that need to conform to a certain aesthetic these cables are perfect, I recommend them completely.

I was so over that bright blue cable snaking through my office like an eyesore from the early 2000s. Enter this 50-foot Cat 8 cord—sleek, black, and exactly the length I needed to run from my router into my game room/office setup without having to play "let's rearrange the furniture" every time I wanted a clean look. Performance-wise? No complaints. My connection has been rock solid whether I’m in the middle of a lag-free Call of Duty marathon or uploading massive files for work. This thing means business. It’s built thick and sturdy, not that flimsy, knotted up nonsense that curls up like a party streamer after five minutes. Visually, it blends right in. The black color keeps things looking clean and intentional instead of chaotic and clunky. It’s not doing the most, but it is doing exactly what I needed without making itself the main character of the room. Bottom line: It’s durable, discreet, and delivers the speed I want with zero drama.

I can't test this at anything past 10Gbit speeds, but I can tell you that this works perfectly at 10Gbs for extended periods. The flat nature of this cable allows me to bend around corners easier while also sliding under baseboards so I don't have to run a cable in a wall or have it out in the open. The quality is very good and the shielding is helpful if needed. While I'm not a fan of how these flat cables are packaged with them having a sharply bent part in the center. This part is in the center of the cable. It does not appear to cause any issues, but I hope these manufacturers start using something to make sure the bend in the center is not too tight by using some type of device.
