The cable felt nice and sturdy much more than my last Ethernet cord. I plugged it in to test the cable to make sure it worked well. The speed was spot on and was happy but this is short lived. I unplugged the cable and ran it on my walls using little adhesive clips made for flat cables. I hooked everything up and the cable no longer works. I had to pull it down and searched back and forth under my bright led lamp. I couldn’t find a single spot to indicate a issue. I thought maybe my Ethernet card or router might be the issue so I tried my other router and other computers in different arrangements with no luck at all. I’m so irritated at the disappointment of hours work neatly running this cable to have to take it back down. UPDATE*** The seller sent a replacement for the faulty cable. The replacement works great and looks extremely neat and tidy around the top of my walls. I would recommend this cable and seller to anyone looking for a good cable. ... show more

I purchased the flat cable for some discrete mounting. This product works well and does everything expected. The downside is not a result of this product not working as advertised. The flatness of the cable works well when bending along the long length but not so much the short length. Think of the bend like a retractable tape measure, it works well when bending the one way but not the other. So if you're primarily running this along a single flat surface or even along the walls of a room (for example with the floor boards), this will work well. This cable works great, even though I got one that was longer than I needed. Even though I am not using it at anywhere close to the max speed on my network it is nice to have it run knowing if I do get faster networking gear it will still be usable.
