So far I have used these in a powder coating facility for about 2 months with 10 hrs a day 5 days a week. They didn't seem to need much if any break in period and are very comfortable. They seem to be holding up fine as far as construction quality as well.

I was initially concerned about the thin material but it seems to be holding up pretty well after everyday lighter jobsite use. Not sure if it will hold up for dirtier work or for a long time though. Order half a size smaller than you would for a laced pair

Moderate arch support; wider than expected toe box/width. The width isn't *too* wide, there is just more room than I expected. Absolutely no break-in period; they were comfortable from the start. No rubbing or blisters. I usually have to put in gel insoles right away, but I tried them as they are on a whim and my feet were not exhausted after the first full work day. They're also really lightweight for being safety boots. I've always had good luck with Caterpillar; these were bought to replace a pair of rubber steel toed boots by the same company, which just now wore out after three years of consistent wear. They're leather, so they are also hardy for outdoor situations. These boots are definitely a good choice...I will be keeping these. Mink oil/some kind of leather conditioning salve would loosen up the leather if you need it, but I didn't need it for these. ... show more
