  • Built to last
Size: 12 Color: Dark Beige
I've had these boots for almost 2 years. Wear them every workday in a warehouse doing warehouse stuff. Boot has never disappointed. Almost took them to climb Mt Shasta they're that good. I didn't, of course, but the thought did cross my mind.... that's how comfortable and durable they are. Good buy.

  • This thing lasted 12 years of abuse through my entire career
Size: 10 Wide Color: Dark Beige
Bought this boots fresh out of college after getting construction inspector job 12 years ago for $89. It is waterproof and super durable considering I wore it everyday for 12 years. Took few weeks to break in and was comfortable. Bought couple more boots after this but always come back to this since it was the most comfortable. It is coming to end of it's life though with sole crumbling and detaching from sides. ... show more

  • Good boots
Size: 9 Color: Dark Beige
UPDATE: After owning these boots, wearing them 6 days a week, 10 to 12 hours a day, they are still in great condition. I work in the desert, walk on many uneven surfaces, rocks, steel, the soles are still in good condition, the leather remains in good condition, they're even still water proof. My problem is they still cause major callous on the outside of my big toes, too the point that my toes hurt bad. They're also starting to cause my middle toes to hurt on my dominate foot along with heel pain on the very rear of my dominate foot heel. Overall I'd still highly recommend these boots. They require very little break in time and are comfortable to wear all day with extensive walking on all surface types and extensive climbing up and down all day. Maybe replace the insole every few months, which I did not. I'm now going to try the Timberland Pro Boondocks to see how they hold up. But I still highly recommend these Cat boots. After about 6 months of wearing these working 6 days a week, the comfort is fading fast. The boots are still holding up though. I think it's the insole that's done. Overall a very good boot, reasonably comfortable, and they are a true fit. They're still waterproof/resistant. They hold up well in the heat (I live and work in the desert). The only downfall is they will cause massive callous on the outside of your big toes. Not sure why, since I don't notice my big toes rubbing anything in the boot. I would recommend these boots. ... show more

  • Better than most I have had.
Size: 9 Wide Color: Dark Beige
Well I like the comfort of this boot. Which matters when you are on concrete for much of the day, I am using them on 59 year old feet and with that will always have times that during the day are uncomfortable. Still i do like them somewhat. They offer some cold protection only I noticed cold will work through from the soles, I was standing in place outside for a time yesterday and had to keep shifting weight and lifting my feet because the asphalt was freezing cold. Once you are moving everything seems okay. I coated my boots with mink oil since its winter in New England and our warmer winters are bringing a more wet snow than used to be. (This was just to add a second outside layer of water protection). I work from on my knees quite a bit and the sole of the boot has an extra flex feature which allows the foot to curl up more than conventional boots which is good for overall comfort while performing on the ground work. Will mention that they do come large in size and I plan to buy more pairs while dropping down a half size at a time until they fit to perfection. I will use this larger pair for winter to allow room for thermal socks and use a tighter fitting pair for summer work with lighter weight socks. I would buy more pairs because I will always need more work boots. ... show more

  • Comfortable AND Lightweight
Size: 10.5 Color: Dark Beige
Best steel toes I've had in 20 years. No real break-in needed. Excellent rubber covered toe box with a comfortable amount of room. I added arch supports like I do for all my work boots. Look great, too. Can't speak to durability, but craftsmanship seems solid. CAT nailed these steelies. Nice work. I work for an international competitor in the heavy equipment business, but still worth it - a case of the best product being selected here, regards of name tag on the product. • EXCELLENT safety boots!
Size: 9 Wide Color: Dark Beige
These boots were ordered because I injured my toes cutting wood after Hurricane Sandy felled one of our trees. I was using safety equipment while using my chainsaw (helmet, visor, safety gloves, chaps) ... but didn't have steel-toed boots. I was basically wearing sneakers when a heavy log fell on my foot. Anyway, I purchased these CAT boots based on the reviews, description, and Caterpillar's reputation. At first I thought they would be too large (I wear a 9 wide), but after putting on heavy socks and tightening the laces over the arch (first 3 or four loop-holes), the fit vastly improved. My toes have alot of space, and there's absolutely no rubbing, and after wearing them ALL day, they felt fantastic. No breaking-in needed (in my case). I don't know much about safety boots, but these have a loophole (fifth from bottom), that seems to allow you to snug-tighten the laces without hurting your feet, and allows flexibility around the ankle. The sole has a very solid and secure feel--no slipping at all. I was stepping on sharp rocks and felt absolutely nothing on the soles of my feet. I should have purchased these years ago. The only negative (and this is not really a criticism of the boots) is that the sole treads are deep and capture dirt and mud. You can't walk in your home with these even if you wipe your boots on a brush/scraper. Again, this is NOT a criticism, but expect that they will catch dirt. ... show more
