Ordered these for my husband because I was really tired of all his work boots with laces and/or zippers wearing out so quickly. SO glad I took the chance on these! My husband loved the look of them so much, I ordered him a pair of soft toe boots to wear on his off days. They fit wonderfully right out of the box, even with heavy socks made especially for steel toe boots. My husband's exact words were: "They feel like slippers". The treads are very good on these, the height of the boot is just right even for men with larger calves, and there hasn't been any complaints on how they feel after a 12+ hour day, which says a lot. In fact, my husband will slip these on to run out to the store instead of his sneakers, which really says something to me. A word to the wise: These are NOT waterproof, and they don't claim to be. BUT if you protect your leather with a good quality sealant (like Sno-Seal) you'll have a comfortable, durable pair of boots that will keep your feet dry.

Sizing is a little wonky but these are comfortable boots otherwise. I purchased a 10.5 that fit a little snug at first but broke in well. Second pair, also 10.5, fit a bit loose, I added an insole which corrected the fit. Only drawback is the insole that comes in the boot is not removable. Still giving it 5 stars

These boots are nice but several issues......at first. Very excited to receive new boots! Out of box, on feet, initially felt okay. I did notice that the right boot was considerably tighter than the left boot. May be due to the phenomenon of one foot being larger than the other. Not sure. Wore around house for a while to get feel. Decided to put them to work the next day. First day on job, left boot okay, a little loose and floppy, however, the right boot destroyed my ankle. Painful rubbing resulted in blister. Very sad. Lawn maintenance and the 6 hours of brisk walking is not fun with painful boots! I got home, used mink oil to condition leather purchased Dr. Scholl's insoles "GEL" and long boot style tube socks. The insoles lifted my ankle above the area inside the boot that was rubbing and snugged up the left boot a little. Combined with the socks, I thought I had solved the problem! But no. It had just begun. Left boot still a little loose so I added a crew sock over my long boot sock. That did the trick for the left boot. The right boot, being tight already, I just left it alone. Went to work the next day and the right boot rubbed a painful blister on the back of my heel! Holy cow was I ever aggravated! I tried an additional sock for cushion and still a lot of pain. With bandaids, mole skin, extra socks I worked through a good two weeks of pain and caring for my injuries but now the boots fit fine and are actually quite comfortable. Great boots, just be prepared to break them in.

I have been wearing this boot for years. Its often difficult to find locally. Much less find it in my size and I think I am a typical 11 I prefer a little wider width. I am required to use steel toes for work and these certainly fit the bill. Due to my job (construction) my boot usually last a year or thereabouts from all the abuse they take day in and day out Glad to have a new set. I like to get a second set while the first are still usable and slowly break them in vs going all at once. Keeps the feet happy. The color is what I would expect having used these for years. I keep coming back to these due to they hold up. Don't think the boots are not good, they go bad because I am hard on them, really hard. The last picture are form the boots I purchased last year. Still very much usable at this point, hopefully I will get 4 maybe 5 months longer, out of them. The soles usually have no issue for me whatsoever. What happens is I usually wear the toes out, the leather over them. Thats nothing against the boot, its just how hard I am on them and the terrain I use them in.

Overall the boot itself is nice, but they are definitely not waterproof. Bought these for my husband to wear during work. He was cleaning tanks and shortly after starting his feet were soaked. Makes for a very long day when you have wet feet.
