One of my cats is a senior with arthritis, heart disease and is blind. With all her vet appointments including some distance to travel for her cardiologist I was looking for a carrier that had room for her to ride in comfortably but not be a danger to her eyes if she bumped the sides. I saw this one and it is purrrfect. It's soft sided enough, has a wonderful pad to lie on, easy to carry either by hand or on my shoulder and comes with a water bowl in case she gets thirsty. This pet carrier was pretty basic to me. The carrier has a zipper side access as well as a top opening. It has handles and comes with an over the shoulder carry strap. There is a small sherpa pad inside that can be washed if necessary. The handle was kind of cheap to me. The zippers worked but were not always smooth. This is a very nice carrier. Why? Not too small. Very nice base that's padded with a large cushioned edge for the little guy's head (my guys like a little pillow). Folds very flat for storage. I think it's way too tall to fit under an airline seat, but it does squish down, or you could put it sideways and it would probably fit fine. this is very small it's not meant for big fat cats adult sized cats! it seems pretty flimsy as well kept falling in on itself if i were a cat id have a panic attack in it from how claustrophobic it seems. i wouldn't advertise this for medium sized cats it should be advertised for small cats!

This is a great size for small animals/ cats. It was easy to assemble and the bowl was a plus. My only draw back the bed is a little hard. You need a blanket to cushion it.
