Decent size, 11lb cat had no issue fitting inside although he still isn't sure what to make of it ha-ha. He's a senior and I think I'll end up holding onto this until I get a new cat and start right off the bat with the training. I found it pretty easy to open although there are no instructions. There was also an insert piece but it didn't fit anywhere, either too big or too small so I don't know what that was for. There's a small clip on the inside (photo) I assume if you want to attach your cat's leash or harness, it's too short of a length to attach to a collar. Overall the stitching feels good and strong, the straps were comfortable and adjustable. There was a protective stretch film over the clear bubble and I could not get all the little edges up (see photo) which was not pretty but it did keep the clear dome scratch free.

My daughter has a kitten and would like to take it outside and introduce it to the neighborhood so that it can get familiar with the area and eventually be able to go outside on it's own. She's been trying to take it out using a harness and leash, but it doesn't like to be on the ground and only wants to perch and climb around the shoulders, neck, and head. I thought, maybe a backpack might be better for her at least for now or for when she needs to be transported to the vet or something. So, we tried this one out. We liked the overall design, it's nice that the cat has such a large viewing area and that there's plenty of holes for air flow. However, the kitten figured out how to manipulate the zipper from inside the backpack so she can open it and then proceeds to climb out and perch/climb around the shoulders, head, and neck again. We're going to have to find some sort of weights or way to keep the zippers from moving opening while she's inside it in order to use it. She also really didn't like it when there were any gusts of wind blowing through the backpack's many holes. This feels well made and looks nice, but the cat opening it from the inside is a real problem. I don't know if there's something in the design that can be changed to make that not happen, I don't know if it's a common problem or just our cat, I don't know if it happens with other brands or just this one. All I know is it's not able to keep our cat safely inside for now. If we didn't have that issue I would have rated it 5 stars.

This is a fun thing to do with your cat however there is a few design flaws. It surely needs a more sturdy bottom, that prevent it from folding up on your pet. Also i think the whole back being expandable is a bit dangerous for your furry friends. My cat however did love it I just had to support the bottom with my hands. The clear shell is also very reflective so it was hard to see my cat in it in the sun

I've wanted a backpack cat carrier since I first ever saw one. A hard one with cage like bars on it my cat kept biting. The soft one I have has no structure so it is falls in on my cat. This would be perfect because it's sturdy for space but has nothing fkr my cat to chew on. I also liked that it was expandable to allow for more space if setting down for a while. The design was something I liked overall but the plastic screen felt like it was quite thin and would easily break or crack. There was a plastic protecting film on it but it was put right in under the lip so there is a bunch of bits of it still sticking out that I can't get out. There is a rectangular uh..idek, like what looks like it should go on the bottom to provide a floor, but it's not the same size so it ends up being in the way more than anything. It also tips over SO EASILY if my cat moves around in it. I used this while I moved houses and anytime I set her down she would fell right on the face of the backpack.

I have 2 kitties soon to be 3 and needed a convenient way to carry them. I have been dreaming of this carrier for so long and finally decided to get it. My cat Socks is the model for this product. She is a small cat but sits on the more chonky side of the scale. She is the biggest of my babies and fits pretty comfortably in this backpack. There is a back portion that opens to allow your kitty to lay down. This has an opening on the outside of the bag to set it up, but to open the bag up to this side, you have to unzip the dividing panel from the inside. This made it a bit difficult to extend while my kitty was still in the carrier, which wouldn’t be very convenient if I had gone out somewhere with her not knowing this. She seemed to have felt pretty comfortable in the carrier and even laid down once the back was extended. It held her pretty well and did not show signs of collapsing. I would like to say though, this bag comes with a plastic film to protect the clear panel from scratches. It appears this film was placed on the panel prior to the installation as pieces of it got stuck in the seems and are too small to remove with fingers alone. Would recommend for my fellow cat lovers!

I have three cats and tried this with two of them, the third one is way too big for this backpack. My other two are large cats as well though so I'm impressed that this backpack holds them. They are Ragdoll breed which is large-sized. One of my cats is so in love with this thing that if I leave it by the door he goes inside of it and meows at me - let's go! I have to actually out it away so he won't think I'm taking him outside when I go near the front door. It has a zipper on the inside that I unzip to make more room for my cat. You can also make it much roomier so they have extra room to move around if you sit down somewhere- at a park for example. My cat is on the heavy side and I still find the backpack to be fairly comfortable - the straps are padded. I don't let my cats roam freely outdoors so this is a nice compromise, they get to explore the world without the dangers. I let my cat keep his head out of the backpack by unzipping the side-pocket. There are plenty of air holes so I don't worry about them not getting enough air. I love this thing and am very happy I got it, and so is my cat!
