I used this as a cat feeder so that my skinnier, more docile cat would be able to eat freely while not feeling inclosed. Yes I’ve already tried sure feed, my fat cat knows how to break into them. ANYWAYS. Upon cutting a hole in the “wood” kennel, it was obvious it was fiber board. It’s just thin pieces of cardboard pressed together really finely to resemble wood, but it’s not going to hold up to anything that chews. Maybe some pieces are wood but most isn’t. ... show more

The bag was open where the screws were so I missing the hinges for the door so could not finish putting together will have to go find those parts at a hardware store other than then cage was fine

It looks very nice considering the low price. I put it together quickly. It appears sturdy enough. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one for the bedroom. We have 2 puppies coming soon so I can’t tell you how chew proof it is yet, but it is solid wood and I expect it’s possible if you don’t have enough toys to occupy your pups. Do note the door only opens one way. I was hoping to open it towards the left but that option isn’t possible. Still worth every penny ... show more

Assembly was easy. Crate looks very nice with our other furniture. I do not like the latch system though. Very difficult to get it to latch in the dark as everything has to be aligned perfectly for it to securely latch. Also, it is wood so if you have a chewer, you may be missing some of the slats soon. Our little dog (22#s) likes to chew on the wood slats. I resolved this issue with some Bitter Apple Spray that seems to have stopped the chewing but would recommend spraying before putting you pet in this so that it stays looking nice. ... show more
