I bought the Large version of this. This is much bigger than I thought it would be but I'm very happy with it! I have a 32lb French Bulldog and he has plenty of space in there. I got this puppy today. I have to say that i am impressed. It went together fast, everything you need except a phillips is included. Once it is 100% assembles it is very sturdy and its huge. I read a couple of reviews on here where people said is was too small, people get that horse out of your house, it doesn't belong there. A great dane could fit in this thing. I put my dog and my 2 kids in there and still had room to spare. The finish is nice, whoever packed this thing did a superb job, bubble wrap inside a box wrapped around foam everything was secure and didn't bounce or slide during transit. There isn't a scratch or nick on it. I also read a review stating not for a "destructive dog", holy crap man, if you dog can tear this thing up, how do you sleep at night? I'd be worried that dog would be coming for me. ... show more

I really like these dog crate tables! I bought two of them in Espresso: we have two Border collies who insist on barking when guests come to the door. I bought them for practical purposes, but I have received many compliments on how nice they look in the living room. Frequently guests are surprised to notice that they are actually dog kennels. They dogs seem quite content in them; frequently they will choose to just go in and lie down. Even our big 100-lb Anatolian shepherd chooses to use one for taking naps from time to time. There are standard fleece dog pads that nicely fit these table crates. I bought these at WalMart. I found the kits easy to put together by myself. They are well-built and sturdy. Possibly, if I had a dog that didn't want to be restrained the latch on the front would be inadequate. I probably would not use these for a dog that was not already somewhat crate-trained, and I wouldn't leave puppies who are in their chewing phase in one of these wooden ones unsupervised for very long. That just seems common-sense. The one thing I wish is that the doors were reversible, or could be ordered left or right. Since we have placed them at each end of our sofa, the left side table door opens into the wall. ... show more

First off let me say this is a beautiful dog crate. Don't let other commentators fool you. Obviously if you put a puppy or a not-previously-crated dog in here they will busy out or chew through it. It's wood. First time crating should be done with a sturdy metal cage. That being said, it was very easy to assemble and all the holes lines up perfectly. It's big enough for a medium/large lab/pit mix. My only recommendation would be to reinforce the sides with some angle brackets in case the dog leans on it. It's kind of flimsy, but as I stated, if your dog is comfortable in a crate this will work for you. *** TLDR *** The Good: • Large option is suitable for a 60lb lab/pit mix but not so big it's an eyesore. • Beautiful finish. • Easy to assemble (took about 10 minutes). The Not So Good: • Could be sturdier (more angle brackets for reinforcement would have been nice). • Bigger/better latches for the large crate. ... show more

The crate is beautiful. Very easy to put together. The seller had this on my doorstep 2 days from the date of purchase even though Amazon said it would be 7-10 days. I had some bad luck with it though not caused by the quality of the crate but more bad judgement on my part. I had to put my normally non destructive dog in the crate and leave the house for a half hour and he was on edge because of all the contractors buzzing around the house removing a fallen tree. He tried to break out of the crate while I was gone and chewed one of the wooden slats. I am letting the readers know that if they incur minor chew damage to this crate that 3M Bondo Home Solutions Wood Filler works perfectly to repair any minor wood damage to the crate. Use it with the special Bondo spreaders, 80 Grit and 180 Grit sandpaper blocks, and Minwax polyurathane SATIN stain in espresso topped with the semi-gloss quick poly by minwax for a perfect match to this crates finish. You cant even tell any chewing happened! The same stain works great with masking any slight scratches. Old English scratch stain does not work on this, but the Minwax matches perfectly. Simply apply little dings with an natural bristle artists brush and larger areas with a quality natural bristle stain brush recommended by Minwax. ... show more

    • Hopefully you get the"better" crate
We ordered 2 of these crates. They seemingly came from different places. One was great. All the parts were included, nothing missing, nothing damaged, nothing scratched. Very nice and easily assembled and sturdy when completed. The other one however was the exact opposite. Screws were missing, it was all scratched and banged up, it was difficult to assemble the pieces did not line up and the lock/latch was different from the other crate. Once assembled after purchasing missing screws from the hardware store the crate is not sturdy at all. It is wobbly and never did aligned correctly. VERY disappointed with this crate. If we did not need them both immediately we would have definitely sent the bad one back. It almost seemed like we were sent a crate that had previously been returned. The shipping box was hammered and looked like it had a rough journey to say the least. If we had received this one first (we received the 2 crates on different days even though we ordered them from the same place at the same time) we would have immediately refused the other crate and had it returned and start the refund process. But the Good Crate came first.We must say that the first crate was great. We would order that crate again. The 2nd crate is garbage. We would recommend the company see to it that they give attention to their product line insuring they are offering a consistent product. The 3 stars is an average. The first crate is 5 stars.
