I was a bit wary, based on many of the middling reviews here, but decided to give it a shot. And I'm glad I did. For the price, it's a decent value. It's fairly good, but not great. And it does have some drawbacks. Positives: -Looks decent. -The frame and top are very sturdy construction, being made from wood, instead of particle board like most other furniture in the "around a hundred dollars" price range. The only exception is the drawer, which is quite flimsy, and has what seems to be a cardboard bottom. -Easy to assemble. The manufacturer must have been listening to the complaints, as the drawer track hardware now comes pre-assembled on the wood pieces, so you no longer have to worry about the tracks not lining up properly with the pre-drilled holes as some earlier reviews complained about. If you're even moderately handy, you can assemble this in about 20 minutes with an allen wrench and a phillips screwdriver. Negatives: -The drawer is downright terrible. It's shallow and flimsy, and it binds in the track too easily. I don't plan to ever use the drawer. -The legs aren't even, causing it to wobble. I had to put a shim under one of the legs to minimize that. -The coat of paint is whisper-thin, to the point where the underlying wood tone shows through. It has barely a light dusting of white paint. This would be a good candidate for a repaint, which I may tackle in the near future. As a kitchen island, which is what it's advertised as, I'd give it 2 stars. It'd be too skinny and wobbly for that purpose, and it's cheap-looking enough that I wouldn't want it to be the centerpiece of my kitchen. But I'm using it as shoe rack and laundry folding table against the wall in my mud room/laundry room, and for that, I give it 3.5 stars. (Rounded up to 4 because of the very reasonable price.) So as long as you're okay with it not looking super high quality, and you don't plan to use the drawer, go for it. It's still noticeably better and sturdier than most of the other cheap furniture in this price that that's usually made from particle board. ... show more

My micro apartment is severely lacking in kitchen cupboard & drawer space. This kitchen island serves as my appliance rack, cutting station, & huge catch-all drawer. I use it pushed against a wall. Perfect height, easy to assemble & clean, and quite an attractive addition to my apartment.

As a girl it took a bit of strengh and hurt my fingers a bit by the end with the tool it comes with but I solved that by using an oven mit. The instructions are pretty easy though. You will need your own screw driver for some of the screws though. But it doesn't look super cheap at all. I've only had it up for a week but so far so good. ... show more

Easy and fairly quick to assemble- I even assembled the drawer backwards in my haste and still was able to redo it and complete the structure within an hour by myself. Very sturdy and can handle a person leaning full-weight on it very well (I am 135 lbs). If you can work an Allen Wrench, then you got this! I was pleasantly surprised by the height, truly countertop height. For the price I'd definitely recommend, as well as great for small spaces. This lil-island will absolutely add some razzle-dazzle to your kitchen. lol. (No I wasn't paid to give feedback- just a satisfied customer....) ... show more

I think itโ€™s super cute. Itโ€™s exactly what I wanted. Itโ€™s pretty easy to assemble BUT I had to go buy new screws for some of the holes that were too big for the provided screws.
