I purchased this bed for our son because we all like the rustic look. I bought some amber tinted shellac and took the time to shellac all the pieces before assembly. Wow, the bed turned out beautiful! The scellac really made the wood look rich and beautiful. Assembly was easy and the bed is sturdy as can be. The bed assembly was simple except one issue. The 4 angle braces did not have predrilled holes to lag into the 4 corner posts. I highly suggest marking & drilling pilot holes for the 8 lag bolts. Also I threw away the nails provided and used trim finish screws. Turned out to be very sturdy with no wiggle or squeaks. Applied a light stain and satin varnish to each piece before assembly. Huge cracks all over the wood. It's natural yes but it weakens the bed and make it look like crap.
Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2024 by Table arrived in a trashed and opened box. After taking the table out it was damaged in multiple places and missing all four table legs. I'm returning it and I won't be purchasing a new one. It looked like it was torn into and the legs stolen out. Why would you ship this? Terrible product and customer service.

This bed is very nice for the price. The only complaint I have is it had very large cracks which extended the length if the logs. I filled them with wood filler and also used screws to assemble rather than the nails that came with the bed. It is very sturdy and well made.

    • Great quality. Flexible as far as you finish it to your liking, and a wonderful price.
I wouldn't go nailing your ladder sections together until you get the end legs on. Made that mistake with the first bed. Two more are currently on the way. For the price and quality, you can't complain one bit.

Difficult to assemble and still not sturdy after assembling exactly according to instructions. Had to add lag bolts to better secure head and footboards to the frame and needed to add a steel frame under the bed’s original to ensure sturdiness and safety.
