So I decided to get a Casper since I heard from friends that it is a great mattress. I was skeptical since it was a bit pricey and it was memory foam…well plus size girls and memory foam don’t usually get along but boy was I wrong!! I have the Hybrid so I got the best of both worlds. Not only is it soft like a cloud it gives me enough firmness to where I don’t feel like I’m sinking in. I’m around 280lbs and the bed has not dented in and it kept it’s firmness for I say a month since I had it. Now beware this mattress is THICK and when the plastic is cut it was growing before my eyes and didn’t take long at all to be at full size(giggity) probably about 10min tops. There was no smell at all and the size is what it claims. It is also helping my sciatica pain and I see myself sleeping through the night which is the most important. I’m a happy customer. The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research on VOC’s, pain relief, support, etc..and I finally pulled the trigger on the Casper hybrid. I previously had Sealy and I was in constant back pain. I work out everywhere and do Pilates too. I can say the hybrid is perfect for me. I am a stomach sleeper - even if I try to sleep on my side I eventually end up on my stomach. The hybrid is the perfect amount of pillow top feeling coupled with support. I could not be happier. On the sealy memory foam I felt like I was sinking into a pit and was being swallowed up, I tried flipping the mattress around ( not over!) and the feeling was the same. With the Casper hybrid it’s a supportive but soft feeling. I have always used a pillow topper and I don’t even need one. This bed is amazing. It’s been a little over 4 months now. I made sure to get the Casper base ( I did not get the low profile one- I heard there is one) I like my bed away from the carpet/ floor. My Yorkie wakes me up when he wants up/down and he won’t sleep anywhere else in the house!! He approves! I also sleep VERY HOT!!! And it doesn’t heat me up. I prefer the room at 68 degrees and leave the window open. It’s a dream!! If you are reading this then I am sure you are researching so if you are like me go with hybrid the normal memory foams were not so great for me. Good luck!!!

I'm a curvy mid-aged female and have been experiencing shoulder and hip pain. I'm a 100% side-sleeper and tend to flip-flop frequently during the night. My hips were beginning to bother me a lot more sleeping on a firmer innerspring mattress. I prefer a softer plush mattress and after researching quite a few of the new bed-in-a-box brands, the Casper Hybrid sounded like the right choice at a reasonable price point. I've had it for a little over a week now and the balance of softness and support feels just right, especially in the hip area. I'm waking up less frequently to turn over because of pain. My only concern about the mattress was a lingering, mildly mildewy smell that has finally faded after several days (or I am noseblind to it now). I had the mattress on the floor for a few days until my new foundation arrived, so I think getting it off the floor has helped it air out more. I did not purchase the Casper foundation, but instead got a less expensive "ZINUS 9 Inch Metal Smart Box Spring/Mattress Foundation" which works very well with my bed frame and the mattress. I found Amazon's ship time to be faster than any other retailer and even then it arrived a couple days earlier than expected. In the box, it is super heavy, and I was grateful the driver carried it over the threshold for me! It's best to unbox it where you plan to keep it, because it inflates quickly and is an unweildy beast to move.

I have been suffering from extreme back pain ever since I bought my last mattress from Ikea one year ago. I purposely bought an extra firm Ikea mattress (8/10) because I had a super soft foam mattress (2/10) prior to that one, which I believe is where my back pain started. To be honest, I wasn’t a believer of the special engineering of these kinds of mattresses and thought the major reason for my pain were due to past injuries, work and personal related stress. As time went on, the pain got worse. I went to see a chiropractor and an acupuncture specialist and it wasn’t working. So I started to work out and do regularly back stretches. The pain got even worse, especially in the mornings. I’ve looked for numerous ways to cure myself and even wore a back brace for a year. I’ve researched for the past 9 months for a self-cure and one of the last things on my list was to change my newly bought super firm mattress. I read on health.com that people with back pain shouldn’t actually sleep on firmer mattresses, but should sleep on a softer foam/latex mattress at a firmness level of (6.5/10). So after reviewing multiple mattresses for months, I was about to get the Bear Hybrid Mattress as it seemed to me that athletes appreciated the recovery the Bear mattress provided them. I then found a review on tuck.com about the Casper original and how it’s best for light weight sleepers. Digging deeper, I found the Casper original hybrid, a 1/2 foam and 1/2 coils mattress with firmer zone support and longer lasting materials compared to the original. I found the Casper hybrid at an even cheaper price on Amazon then Casper’s official website and shipping would only take 2 days, rather than 2 weeks. 2 days later, the Casper hybrid arrives outside my door in a well packed, tall large box. It was heavy but I was able to manage it myself. I wiped it down before opening it on my bed frame. It expanded within seconds and I was very surprised that there was no smell at all. I gave the new mattress a wipe down and let it sit for a few hours before trying it. (I read that we should let a new mattress sit for 24-48 hours but this Casper hybrid was ready to go out of the box.) 2 hours later, I woke up realizing that I passed out while trying out the new mattress. I remember laughing with pure happiness before passing out. I felt like I was sleeping on bouncy clouds while gently being placed on top of it. The support for my shoulder and lower back dissolved the pain I had for years almost immediately. I thought to myself, I should have got this sooner. After sleeping on the Casper hybrid for the last couple days, the pain I use to wake up with every morning has disappeared 95%. Along with doing my daily stretches and massages, I wake up every morning 100% a brand new man. Thank you for curing my back pain! -Firmness Level 5.5-5.7/10. -No smell and ready to use out of the box. -Bouncy cloud feeling while gently being placed on top of it. -Great zone support and pressure relief. -Best for light weight and average weight sleepers. -Im a front sleeper, but I sleep on my back and sides very comfortably. -Edge support is not the best but very good considering the construction. -Mobilization transfer is not the best but good. -100 day free trail and 10 year basic warranty. -No home setup and no service to take old mattress away due to Covid. -Amazon is cheaper and has faster shipping options. I hope my honest review could help some of you out there. Recovery is so important, and this kind of investment is worth every penny. I would also recommend to do your daily stretches, massages and nightly hot bath sessions to speed up your recovery, all the best!
