Consistently comfortable, supportive, and unlikely to disturb your sleep when your spouse rolls over, Casper Sleep Element Full Mattress gets 5 stars from me! I am slowly transitioning all our family's mattresses to Caspers, and now have purchased 5 total. The convenience of it's arrival in a box is a wonder! It is tightly wrapped and vacuum packed into a plastic bag, so it was OK when we didn't get the delivery right away and it was outside for a few days. You have to open it and let it expand before you use it. I have heard that the "gasses" involved are not great to breath so always leave it in an empty room inflating/degassing for a day or two before use, but a recent Google didn't turn up any further info on that, so maybe it was just put out by the haters. ... show more

Excellent! Super comfortable mattress, especially for the price. The only thing that would make it better, in my opinion, would be if it were thicker and provided a little more support for heavier people. However, in fairness, the reviews stated that it was not ideal for heavier individuals. That said, even for me, at around 250 pounds, it's very nice and I sleep like a stone. It is simple to set up and took me all of 10 minutes to remove the plastic wrapping. Had this mattress for about a year without issue. It was decent to sleep on, nothing super fantastic, but definitely not painful or uncomfortable. Then I spilled some soda on the bed, so I unzipped the mattress cover to throw it in the washing machine. What was supposed to be a convenient benefit of this mattress turned out to be my worst nightmare. There's a fiberglass layer used as a fire retardant just underneath. It's supposed to be kept safe from spilling out in a "fire sock" but over time this can apparently wear out and the fiberglass will break apart inside the mattress cover. These shards are very small and if you don't have a light pointed at them, very easily missed. By the time I realized, I was already going to put the now "clean" mattress cover back on after pulling it out of the dryer. Fiberglass in my washer and dryer, all over my bedframe, the walls, the floors, my clothes, curtains, pictures, carpet, everything you can imagine, I found fiberglass there. It's in the air and been circulating around my house. I've gone through hell for a week trying to clean it up, breathing this stuff in, had to buy special equipment and I'm still struggling to get it all. NOWHERE is fiberglass mentioned in the description on Amazon for this mattress, and the manufacturer doesn't just go out of their way to give up this information when asked. Google search Casper mattress and fiberglass, I'm not the first person this has happened to, and won't be the last. Can it be okay as long as you don't take the cover off? Maybe, but do you really want to risk it? There's probably going to be a class-action lawsuit over this, run away! Get something without toxic materials if you can, I'm switching to a Nolah mattress myself. ... show more

Mattress 2: Staying at a relatives house who needs help and have had to sleep on an old mattress for a month and I could barely stand up straight from back pain. I decided to just buy another mattress even if I’m only going to use it for a few months. Night 2 and I’ve finally actually slept. After the first night where the mattress was still a little soft - I still slept better than the last month and the relief from pain was obvious!!! Previous review for mattress 1: So far, I love it! The bottom of the mattress is a little grippy and the mattress doesn’t slide on my frame. Love the quality casing that comes off for cleaning. Feels supportive. Solid quality. Good choice.
