Designed by the same engineering team behind all of Casper’s sleep products, the dog mattress is a universally comfortable sleep surface for our four- legged friends. We combined our mattress-making know-how with extensive dog- centered research to create a sleep environment that caters to canines’ natural behaviors. Pups spend more than half their lives sleeping. If any species deserves an outrageously comfortable sleep surface, it’s dogs. So we combined pressure-relieving memory foam and durable support foam to create a bed that loves Fido back. Even the most well-behaved dogs have bad days. But no matter how rough they play, most dogs can’t rip through our durable cover material — it’s made with one of the strongest bonded microfibers available. It’s so tough, similar materials are used in performance footwear designed to withstand years of abuse. This bed will keep its shape, thanks to its fortified construction; It won’t sink, slump, or sag over time. Dogs scratch or dig before laying down. That’s an instinct they inherited from their wild ancestors, who would kick up dirt to find cooler ground and brush away debris before turning in for the night. Our surface features excess material on top to mimic the sensation of pawing at loose earth. So dig in, doggies. There’s a reason pups like to squeeze into tight spaces. They’ve learned to seek refuge from predators, so they feel safest in enclosed areas. The supportive foam bolsters of the mattress create a safe space for dogs to lay their heads — literally and figuratively.

My dog likes to dig when settling down—which means I’ve gone through an absurd number of dog beds this year. While I have a Casper mattress myself, I was reluctant to spend so much for a dog bed. But after wasting so much money on cheaper beds, I finally gave in, and why do I feel like a fool for not doing it sooner! In fact, within a month, I ordered a second one. The design and cover of these beds are durable, and allows your dog to dig without any destruction. So while it may cost more than other beds, it’s gonna last. We have an elderly dog with declining mobility and most dog beds are too fluffy - they catch on her feet when she tries to turn to lay down, or they have high side bolsters that she can't get over very well. This bed is perfect for her. The firmness of the foam is just right to cushion her joints and bones while supportive enough for her to walk on without getting caught up. The side bolsters are very slight - just enough to give stability to the edges of the bed and a slight rise for her head, without being a tripping hazard. The design is the best-thought-out that I have encountered. Each foam section has a liner covering, and the actual cover has a seperate zip compartment for the main central rectangle - there's no squeezing or smashing of stuffing into place - everything slots in smoothly, zips with a nice fit and hidden zipper, and the end of the zipper is even covered to protect the floor. And I know that it will be easy to remove and replace the cover for washing. My *only* complaint is that we really need a size between medium and large - large is really really big, but medium is too small for our dog. Immediately after putting this together I placed my cat in the bed and he still hasn’t moved 4+ hours later. I liked the quality of this product those I have seen other reviews that were less happy with it. I thought that the softness was perfect for my cat, I got the smallest size and he still has a little room to move around. There is a small lip to the mattress which also provides him with a little more security. The color is nice and neutral so it matches my other decor. I’d recommend this product to anyone ill looking to purchase it for a small dog, smaller than a terrier, or cat. ... show more

I think this is a good alternate, a little expensive but with good built quality, and looks and feel nice and comfy for the dog The fact that all the inside is built in parts makes it a little difficult to put together after washing, but not the end of the world I wish it came with cooling gel as my dog gets hot sleeping on it. ... show more
