We looked for a long time to find the proper mid-century modern light fixture to hang in our kitchen. It needed to be long (because our table is long and skinny) but also it couldn't hang too low since our house doesn't have the highest ceilings. And of course, we wanted something that wasn't too expensive... under $200 was preferable. This Caserti seemed to check off all the boxes. It wasn't too difficult to hang with two people. My husband said the one complicated part of installation was there is a nut which slides up and down the wire, and it got stuck, making it impossible to hang. My husband had to call customer service to get help with it. Apparently you have to squeeze the nut to make it slide up and down. Once that was resolved, we loved the ability to customize the height of the fixture with the different length poles. We also had to work hard to find the proper Edison bulbs which would put off enough light, matched the wattage required (nothing more than 60W), but would also fit into the opening of the globes, but not be too long. This was not an easy task! In the end, we went with these in the warm white, and they are perfect: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YW562HW/ I wanted to post several photos, since there are almost no customer photos of the island style fixture. The 1st is without the light turned on. The 2nd shows how it looks on a dim light. The 3rd shows how it looks on the highest level. And the final picture shows how cool it looks at night when it's turned off. You can't even see the wire on the left at night, so it creates an optical illusion. Overall, we are extremely happy with this fixture, and definitely recommend it! ... show more

We own a mid century modern home, so this fixture was perfect to match existing globe fixtures we have elsewhere in the house. Build quality is surprisingly good, and installation wasn't too difficult (but definitely needs 2 people). A couple things to keep an eye out for though - the globes sort of accommodate standard sized bulbs. If you are using smart bulbs be careful - the original hue bulbs I tried to use were slightly too big to fit through the openings on the gloves. I was able to use older versions that just squeaked through, but if you are using smart bulbs beware they may not fit. Some reviewers mentioned not being able to make the wire longer again - you have to press in on the little 'nipple' (it's spring loaded) to feed the wire back out. Lastly, the product I received had a couple very small scratches in the brass ceiling plate, but they were small enough that for the price I paid I was willing to overlook. All in all a very sturdy and stylish fixture for a great price! ... show more

I wanted a better option for an off centered kitchen chandelier (I was not going to swing it over with a hook and a patch ceiling never looks perfect). I decided this fixture could go into the space and make a more open room feeling as opposed to having a traditional chandelier. I am so glad I decided to do it! It looks great, I get a lot of compliments, it makes the room have a modern and creative feel, and makes the room feel SO MUCH bigger. I appreciate that it is American made and takes regular bulbs. It took a lot of time and patience to clean the dust inside the bulbs upon arrival, and you must be very gentle as the smoked effect and thin glass is very fragile. Wear gloves to prevent fingerprints with a soft cloth and go slow! However, once it's gorgeous and I love it! Totally worth the extra effort for this unique chandelier. Easy enough for my dad and I to install. Love that it’s a focal point of the room. Bulbs were dirty when I first turned on the lights, but I’m sure I can figure out a way to clean them without streaking easily enough. Good value.

Love this light! It looks way better than the track-lighting we had and provides just as much light coverage. We picked this light since our light fixture is not centered in the room and this one would make it appear it is centered. Only thing to take into account is the wiring hole is not in the center of the hanging plate, so we had cut a hole for the wires to go through and holes to mount it with. ... show more
