The media could not be loaded. So I normally am into more modern folders but the looks of this one just caught my eye. I say get it and give it a moment because when I first took it out of the box and messed with it, I was like,I hate this…but then I played with it for about two minutes and was like, wait, I love this thing. This is different than most knives but after messing with it and figuring out the way that worked for me to open it, then it clicked and I really liked it. The fit and finish are good, it’s super sharp, the weight and size are nice (smallish but useful), and despite the lock sticking out of the front it is not uncomfortable in any way. It does have a backspring and you won’t flick it open, but once you get the knack it’s smooth. Unlocking is super easy. My only wish would be a pocket clip but I knew it didn’t have that when I ordered it. If you want a super fast flicker, this isn’t it - but if you want an unusual, very functional knife, this is the ticket. BTW although I collect knives, this was my first Case but won’t be my last ... show more

My dad always had case knives and I wanted to find one for myself. Found this one and it did not disappoint. Great blade and presentation of knife is nice.

I have a few Case knives but the Russlock steals the show. The unique, upswept clip point blade is perfect for most jobs. The lock is solid, scales are tight, and there's no play in the blade. This little blade is well crafted in Pennsylvania with Case quality which is to be expected. It's perfect as an EDC and would be ideal for a woman's purse. Edge arrived very sharp out of the box. The RussLock takes some getting used to but works well.

Love it aside from a couple small complaints. Edge was a tad ragged and it was filthy. Not nitpicking just being honest considering the cost. Easily fixed with a honing rod and rag. Outside of that the fit and finish is spot on. Like others mentioned opening a Russlock takes practice. There’s a few YouTube vids for it. My Case Sod Buster has been an unfailing work horse for years and it’s still as solid as it was brand new. No doubt the Russlock will do just as well. You can’t beat Case. ... show more

Very nicely made, tight but not unduly so. Takes a bit of practice to open one-handed, especially with the smooth scale like this - but the bone is very nice and I like the shape of the blade - I've been using a drop-point EDC for a long time, this will be a nice change.
