Lusted after this set for a long time. Had it in my save for later cart for at least 5 years. Finally I got a bonus at work and that was my excuse to finally buy these bad boys. Well let me say they are great. Case is my favorite knife brand. Made in the USA, sharp, just great knives. These are no different. I have finally tossed my various el cheapo kitchen knives in the trash. These Case knives are guaranteed to make you a great cook, and probably completely irresistible to the opposite sex. These are the most patriotic knives you could ever want, right up there with that old K-Bar your grandpa brought home after eradicating every last shred of masculinity from imperial Japan. Whenever I pull one out of the block I am pretty sure I can hear a bald eagle let out a piercing cry while my neighbors chant "USA! USA! USA!", only drowned out by the sweet sound of an A-10 passing overhead, but instead of blasting it's 30mm autocannon it's blasting Hulk Hogan's "I Am A Real American" at outlandish volume from the biggest megaphone ever mounted on a close air support combat aircraft. These knives are rated XX be cause just the sight of you using one may cause unintentional pregnancy in any fertile female. These are the 1965 Harley Panhead Chopper of kitchen knives. These aren't for everyone, only those that God, Chuck Norris and George Washington deem worthy. If you think you might have what it takes, then invest in the best, last knives you'll ever need. Case always makes a fine knife, and their kitchen utensils are no exception. Good blades, handsome handles. Dry the handles quick after washing, and occasionally oil/condition, and they’ll last a long time.

    • Love the Knives. One star deducted because of knife block.
I purchases these knives in 12/2020. I love them But the knife block hasn't turned out to be the quality I would expect to accompany made in USA knives. I would also say that the maintenance of said block itself has not existed. Merely put it on the counter, install knives and forget about the block. It appears to be white wood with stain, not a big deal but maybe it should have been dipped in stain or something to make the knife slots dark like the block. Technically I didn't notice this until I noticed the attached piece holding the block at an angle separating from the main block. It has a gap of more then 1/8th inch, that is just over 3.1 mm. I would think that this is from not using wood dry enough for the task at hand. (I am not a wood expert) I am guessing it is from material either expanding or contracting. I am now in search of a knife block to fit these. ... show more
