    • the coffee maker exploded 6 months after purchase injuring me and throwing coffee everywhere!
this coffee maker is very dangerous! it blew up. i mean literally blew up spewing coffee grounds and hot water over up to 9 feet in every direction. The explosion was so severe that the lid blew off the machine and the black plastic part that holds the coffee flew out like a bomb and flew across the room! This is an unsafe product and shame on casabrews for putting it on the market and shame on amazon for selling it! ... show more

    • Simple operation for guests and stainless steel looks nice
We put this in our guest cottage to replace the single serve Keurig K-Mini which had a confusing mandatory sequence of operation that was frustrating for guests. This single serve coffee maker is much more intuitive and less emphatic in its enforcement of the proper sequence. We like the stainless steel wrap covering the black plastic body and the classy silkscreened logo on the front. The top of the coffee maker is silver plastic with a differentiating black plastic cover for the top of the water tank. While examining the coffee maker we swapped out the default brew basket with the K-cup holder to see how that worked and struggled to figure out how the K-cup holder fit in. Then, having not looked how the brew basket was previously installed we couldn't figure out how to put it back. Eventually, without breaking anything, we figured out the tab on the K-cup holder should be oriented at 12 o'clock which installs easily. Then we figured out the hinge on the brew basket (which is sized very much like the tab on the K-cup holder) should be oriented at about 4 o'clock. This would be a problem for guests. Our solution, which has yet to be tested on a guest, was to use a silver Sharpie to draw an arrow on the coffee maker next to the basket area, oriented at 1 o'clock, pointing to the basket area. We then installed each of the baskets and drew a short line on top of the basket matching the arrow. This would seem to make the installation orientation more intuitive as the silver contrasts nicely with the black plastic components. We'll let you know if it is still a problem. ... show more
