I like this rug so much I bought a second one. If you wash, do NOT dry on high heat. I destroyed this one and ended up buying a second. If you happen to dry it too high it can be fluffed out with a dog brush but it won’t have the same sheen as original. If you don’t have super high traffic in your home this will be a great addition. Haven't washed or vacumed the rug yet, but it is very sturdily made and probably will keep looking nice for sometime with shakings. Sadly, I am too old to be able to care for pets anymore, so don't know how the rug would hold up to dogs or cats cuddling on it. I selected pink for the color and am very happy. I never write reviews, but I decided to in this case. I have three dogs who are all potty trained, however, they are temperamental and spiteful at times, so carpets can be difficult to keep nice and clean at times . In the past, I would typically drop off a carpet at Stanley Steemer every two months. I tried Ruggables and did not like how the corners turned up after washing. I was also looking for a “softer look.” I opened this rug and laid it down. I did not care for it too much originally, as it was very bright white. I had every intention of returning it the next day; however, one of my dogs had other plans, so I could not. 🫤. I soaked the rug for an entire day with teabags, to try to make it more of a cream color, and then laid it back down. It is a thin rug; however, I have probably washed it about 10 times, and I think it still looks great!! I wash it on our delicate cycle, and air dry it in the dryer for two hours, and it’s perfect. I laugh about how close I came to returning it. If you’re looking for plush, this is not the right carpet, but if you’re looking for general appearance, I think it does a great job!! The dogs like how soft it is, and I don’t really care if they get it dirty, because I can just throw it in the washer! I highly recommend!! ... show more

It sheds a lot but it is what my daughter wanted. I found out how well it washes and dries sooner than I wanted. One the dogs peed on it I washed it normally. I threw it in the drier on delicate and fluffed right back up. I don't recommend drying on high you may melt the rug fibers. The dogs like it. ... show more
