This CARTMAN 6x8 canvas tarp is excellent quality at a great price. The canvas material is thick and substantial—you can immediately tell this isn't some flimsy thin tarp that'll tear at the first sign of stress. It's heavy-duty and built to last through real use. The finished size is accurate at 6x8 feet, which is perfect for covering equipment, creating shade, or protecting gear. The grommets are reinforced and spaced well for securing with rope or bungees. They've held up perfectly without tearing out even when the tarp is pulled tight. Canvas breathes better than plastic tarps, which means less condensation buildup when covering things. It's also more resistant to UV damage and won't crack or become brittle over time like cheaper tarps. The natural material is easier on anything it's covering too—no scratching from stiff plastic. I've used this for covering my trailer equipment, as a ground cloth while camping, and for general shop use. It handles moisture well and dries out nicely. It feels substantial, Sturdy, heavy and does a decent job of repelling surface dirt and mud and light rain. We put it on top of a plastic Tent tarp on top of our mud flaps as a ground cloth and we were on a slight incline. The water follwed the hill and some how got between the tarp and the canvas and made a it all wet in the middle of our tent during heavy moonsoon style rain. Took 3 days to dry in the high humidity of 70% on the ground with the tent flaps open but the mud swept off easily after it dried. Fits the bill for what wee needed it for.

I have a little area behind my shed that has chain link fence around it and concrete under it, but no roof over it. For years I stretched $7 Harbor Freight-type tarps over it, but they’d last just a few months. In February of 2023, I finally splurged for this one. It’s now more than 3 years old and still looks like new. Not a single tear or rip- even at the grommets. I live in WI, so it sees full sun and highs of 100F in summer, and also ice and snow with lows of -20F. Highly recommended.
