    • Early review. Solves audio connectivity problems with 2012-2018 Audi MMI.
I have had the 9" Carpuride display for 3 days and so far it seems to be working okay. I drive a 2016 Audi A3 e-Tron which has a notoriously horrible audio system and screen called MMI. MMI is especially bad when paired with an iPhone, so I decided to go Carpuride and just forget the whole built-in screen aside from the backup camera. The Carpuride is surprisingly well built and has a great looking screen. It is a little laggy but it is just as fast as any other Carplay screen I have used. It was really complicated getting it to work seamlessly with the Audi MMI, but that is the MMI's fault. If you own an Audi and are having trouble check out the AudiWorld forums. I have a tutorial over there. The built-in speaker sucks, the first thing I recommend is going into settings and muting it. The FM transmitter isn't much better but it is a nice touch. The aux output is satisfactory, but if you are using Carplay you can actually get your phone to send data to the screen and audio to your car's bluetooth. This is where this device really shines. The description doesn't list bluetooth output as an option because it is really your phone that is routing the audio. It is kind of complicated to get it to work but once you do this thing rocks. I assume you can do this with android too, but I am not sure. Using bluetooth audio direct to your car gives you a one cord system (just the power cable into 12V) and if you set it up right it looks like it is part of your car. So many cars from the 2010s don't have touchscreens so this really updates any car from that era providing a vibrant touchscreen and enhancing the functionality of your stereo. It would be even better for a car that doesn't have a screen. I just got rid of a 2011 CR-V and I REALLY wish I would have had this thing before I sold it, I may have kept it. I will report back after living with this thing for a few weeks but if somebody would have told me I could add Carplay to my dated Audi for less than $250, I would have paid it immediately. this was great for everything i needed it to be, i would’ve given it 5 stars had it lasted..i bought this back in january and all of a sudden the blue light has gone out on the charge and my device no longer turns on! for nearly $300 i expected to purchase a device of quality and im disappointed in the lifespan it’s had. i’ve tried everything to get it working again but nothing has worked. but prior to it no longer powering it worked amazing !! 10/10 easy to use, setup, sound was great and the screen was responsive as well:) just upset it’s died so soon, i won’t be spending an additional $300 to replace it though. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just set up my Carpuride device and it turns on and off every 15 seconds. I don’t know what to do. Everything is plugged up and connected correctly

    • Not amazing but cheaper than upgrading the built in system!
This works ok. I have to use it tuned into the car radio as my Uconnect system won’t allow it to sync through Bluetooth. It was a bit fiddly to get it to work initially but now it seems to be working ok even though I’m not entirely sure how it’s set up. Every now and then the CarPlay will randomly switch off and I have to pair my phone again even though it says on my phone that the Bluetooth is connected. You need to go into the settings and switch off the device audio or it’ll play through your car stereo and the device at the same time. The touch screen isn’t massively responsive. It has no internal charge so needs to be connected to power at all times. That’s fine, unless you have auto stop on your vehicle! I have to remember to disable my auto stop or the device switches off every time my car stops! Also, the 3m sticky pad it came with wasn’t great and keeps lifting. It’ll do for now though. There are cheaper versions that probably work just as well so I’m kinda bummed I spent over $200 on this one. ... show more

1st of all, let me say I'm not easily impressed by electronic devices which I've never heard of before and the manufacturers of which I have never heard of. I only 1st heard of this manufacturer and device approximately a week ago from an advertising email I had received. I recently purchased a 2023 Toyota Venza with loads of bells, whistles and a great infotainment system which paired readily with my iPhone 14 Pro. Problem is that I also had a 2010 Tahoe in my driveway with only 32,000 miles on it and a Bose sound system with a CD player, period. The last 13 years have seen enormous strides in CarPlay, GPS's, etc. I just didn't want to play a big chunk of money to get one of the newer systems installed in my Tahoe. Then came along the email advertising the Carpuride. After doing due diligence, I decided to take a chance on this baby. Just what the doctor ordered and at a very affordable price. It paired with my iPhone in less than 10 seconds and booted up immediately. I connected the AV output to my Tahoe's AUX input and connected the power source to my Tahoe's cigarette lighter, or whatever you call them nowadays. I also connected my iPhone to a charger. The rest is history. Works great! I can now use Google Maps , Apple Maps, iHeart Radio, Sirius XM and other apps on my iPhone with no hiccups so far - all while playing them through my Tahoe's Bose sound system via the AUX cord. I've also used it to make phone calls hands free. Great. Best small investment I've made in a long time. ... show more
