The Carpet Cleaner Rug Extracting Shampoo Solution for Machine Use, Deep Stain Remover and Odor Deodorizing Formula worked great! I love that it has only has two ingredients; enzymes and water. This makes it very safe for children and pets. I found it worked very well at cleaning my carpet giving it a light fresh smell. I have never found anything better than enzymes for removing odors permanently in carpets. The size is 1 gallon and the price is very good for the large quantity you receive. On the instructions it says to use 4 oz for 1 gallon of water, however for my machine it does not hold a lot of water so I used a lot less. I used it with the Hoover PowerDash Pet Compact Carpet Cleaner that I purchased on Amazon. I normally use Hoover or Bissell carpet cleaner (which is much more expensive for the amount you receive) and I felt this product worked just as well if not better - maybe because of the enzymes. Overall a great quality carpet shampoo. Update: After using this product for a year about 50 different times on many throw rugs and carpets, it continues to work great. I still have half the container left. This literally could last you 2 years and is well the price. You really only need a couple ounces because it's so concentrated. After trying it several times, what I discovered was I had cleaned all my carpets upstairs and then a couple days later I was going to just go over it with warm water. I realized I still had a lot of carpet cleaner still in my carpets and a lot more dirt came out. I think because it was just sitting on the carpet and I did it a couple days later that it removed a lot more dirt and I thought my carpets were already clean. Now when I clean my carpets with the carpet cleaner I go over it with warm water in my carpet cleaner vacuum to make sure I get all the soap out. I do think if you really have a bad stain I've never found anything better than Folex that they sell on Amazon. It is a spot treatment and would work well with this carpet cleaner.

This jug is huge! It worked well at removing some high-traffic stains from my carpet. It left a pleasant, clean scent as well. My carpet looked and smelled noticeably clean, soft, and refreshed. Nothing beats the power of enzymes, and this carpet cleaner proves that.

Its just ok I didn't see the big wow as some of the reviews state. My carpet wasn't any softer . it did clean it. But it wasn't a show stopper clean and my carpets aren't stained. They just need cleaning for me personally monthly. The scent was ok , like mint and cookies. Its a good carpet cleaner for the price so its 4 stars.

A week ago, I treated the remnants of a pet stain that had been previously spot treated but hadn't faded with my extraction cleaner. I used a pet carpet extraction solution I'd previously bought from a different brand. After drying, the carpet was still noticeably discolored, so I thought this would be a great test for this new solution. I also had a couple of coffee drips to work on. A little goes a long way with this product. I usually use a liter spray bottle to saturate the carpet in solution before letting it sit, scrubbing it in with a brush, and then extracting it (don't want to have to wash out the spray reservoir in my machine or waste leftover solution). I mixed a little over an ounce of product into the liter bottle with cool water and it created a cloudy, whitish solution. This gallon will last forever. When extracted, I got a great, brown, foamy liquid in my stain trapper cup. Very satisfying. The old pet stain seems to be faded considerably. I may go over it one more time later. After drying, the carpet felt nicely soft, not stiff or crusty. I applied the spray to the coffee drips, too, and those came up with little effort, just using a paper towel to blot it up. The smell of the solution is what I'd describe as "industrial apple." It's an artificial apple/berry sort of scent. It doesn't linger too much afterward, but I haven't tried using this on a whole room's worth of carpet, just stained portions.
