  • Tough, Well Built USA Made Boots!
Size: 10.5 Color: Soft Toe - Dark Brown
I have two pairs of Carolina high top Boots, a Linesman and a Loggger, both with outstanding quality. I bought this current pair for my son whose work requires him to climb poles. His prior boits did not stand up to the rigors of pole climbing with crampons. The Carolina Linesman are no problem for handling climbing poles with crampons. I have resoled my Lineman and Loggger boots (Goodyear weldt is GREAT) and the leather uppers are still going strong. The only issue I had with them was the stock heals were too high for my back alingment, but I had the cobbler replace the heals with lower walking heals and the problem was fixed. I prefer leather insoles so I relaced the synthetic foam insoles with 1/4 inch thick tooling leather (procured from Tandy Leather, I do leather work). This has the advantage that the leather molds to the feet and does not get stinky like the synthetic foam inserts do. As far as insulation, these boots are made of thick leather but are not insulated. I wear a size 10 D in the summer with a thin linner sock and a medium weight wool outter sock, and for winter, I wear 10 1/2 D with a medium weight wool or alpaca linner sock and a heavyweight wool outer sock and this keeps my feet warm down to -15°F. They fit comfortably for my seasonal variations and are true to size, but if you do my trick for winter boots go a half size up. As with all leather boots and shoes, if you clean and polish weekly or by-weekly, and apply a leather moisturizer/restorer a couple times a year, these boots will last decades! I am in my second decade with my Carolinas and have more to go. BTW, these make great motorcycle boots! ... show more

  • Best boots you can buy and worth every penny
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Comp Toe - Brown
Absolutely the best boots available I have worn them for years. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and these are the only boots that hold up. And they are crazy comfortable

  • Love em
Size: 11 Wide Color: Brown
Great boots. I've bought these boots religiously once a year for 10 years and I dont think I'll ever change. Great laces. Low weight. Composite toe. For under 200 dollars you can't go wrong.

  • I bought 3 pairs of boots from Osceola Company
I bought three pair of boots from Osceola company. Every one of them were improper sized. The last pair I recently returned... well, I put them on, walked around my house for 1 minute and the boot put my left foot to sleep. I returned them to the Osceola company and they would only return half of the money I paid for the boots, they were telling me that I wore them and that they were now used (they said that to me 3 times in writing, meaning... I tried to get them to help me 3 times) and that's why they would not pay me what they owed me. I did not wear them, they were already pre-worn and probably broken in by people trying them on (many times before I tried them). Osceola is a third party company and I would be very careful purchasing boots from that company. I am certain Carolina Boots are good they just haven't figured out the sizing as they are made in China. Amazon stepped up and repaid me the other half of my money. I love Amazon because they back their products. I would not trust that third party Osceola company ever again. Do what you will, I'm factually sharing the truth. ... show more

  • Durability and comfort
Size: 11.5 X-Wide Color: Brown
My son works in a shop where welding is often done and sometimes wet. He felt that the boots would be durable under these conditions. Thank you very much

  • Painful at first, but breaking in well now
Size: 14 Wide Color: Brown
Boots arrived in a few days, box was shrink wrapped to protect from elements during transit. At first I thought I was going to regret purchasing boots online instead of trying them on first. There was a pressure point just below the two speed laces that caused excruciating pain after only a few minutes of wearing the boots, but i soon discovered that I needed to take some time to get the tongue flattened better when putting the boots on. After a few days of adjusting the tongue, every time I put the boots on, the problem went away. They seem to be breaking in well and are now comfortable to wear all day. Also, they are not advertised as insulated, just waterproof, however the internal padding seems to be holding a lot of heat. Not too hot yet, but we'll see how they are in the summer heat. ... show more
