I love the way this cologne smells on my husband. Cologne isn’t one size fits all and they often smell different on different bodies, so I can’t attest to how this might smell on others (all though I think it’s delicious). I can comment on longevity though. My husband sprays this on in the morning at 6am and still smells wonderful when he comes home at 3pm. A little goes a long way. This is a nice subtle scent and I could see it being someone’s favorite, but for the price of it unless it is your favorite I couldn’t see continuing to spend that much for it. Definitely something to test at a fragrance shop before spending this kind of money on something.

Despite D by Diesel being marketed as for men or women, this is a masculine cologne. It will work for women if you don't mind notes more associated with men's fragrances (it's heavier on denim than vanilla). It is almost a peppery scent. Smells wonderful on my husband, though. Another excellent fragrance from Diesel. Fresh and spicy at the same time. This fragrance is a fresh and amber-y scent that lasts all day. The hints of ginger and lavender gives it a unique smell that is refreshing and energizing. It's not a heavy scent, doesn't incite nausea. I think with all perfumes and whatnot you tend to pay more because of the brand so pricing is justified based on that, still expensive unless you get a discount. Not overpowering and lasts for quite some time when applied. I think something like this suits a young person. Definitely a day or night fragrance and is in my weekend bag for all occasions. I really love this fragrance! It's very strong, but not too strong. It has a really nice blend of all the ingredients that makes up the scent, which I think is what makes it so appealing. The lavender heart is definitely noticeable and gives the scent a feminine feel. This is probably one of the safest scents you can get. Smells mostly like vanilla and lavender to me; it generally just reminds me of a generic clear facial wash. Its lasting power and sillage and about average, neither being too short, long, weak, or powerful. It feels like Diesel asked their perfumers to create the safest, people-pleasing fragrance that appeals to the most people, and I'd say it does that decently well.
