Tough, Well Built USA Made Boots!

I have two pairs of Carolina high top Boots, a Linesman and a Loggger, both with outstanding quality. I bought this current pair for my son whose work requires him to climb poles. His prior boits did not stand up to the rigors of pole climbing with crampons. The Carolina Linesman are no problem for handling climbing poles with crampons. I have resoled my Lineman and Loggger boots (Goodyear weldt is GREAT) and the leather uppers are still going strong. The only issue I had with them was the stock heals were too high for my back alingment, but I had the cobbler replace the heals with lower walking heals and the problem was fixed. I prefer leather insoles so I relaced the synthetic foam insoles with 1/4 inch thick tooling leather (procured from Tandy Leather, I do leather work). This has the advantage that the leather molds to the feet and does not get stinky like the synthetic foam inserts do. As far as insulation, these boots are made of thick leather but are not insulated. I wear a size 10 D in the summer with a thin linner sock and a medium weight wool outter sock, and for winter, I wear 10 1/2 D with a medium weight wool or alpaca linner sock and a heavyweight wool outer sock and this keeps my feet warm down to -15°F. They fit comfortably for my seasonal variations and are true to size, but if you do my trick for winter boots go a half size up. As with all leather boots and shoes, if you clean and polish weekly or by-weekly, and apply a leather moisturizer/restorer a couple times a year, these boots will last decades! Absolutely the best boots available I have worn them for years. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and these are the only boots that hold up. And they are crazy comfortable

I like a quality pair of boots, and although I have to many already, this pair jumped out at me and I made the plunge. They are amazing, my new favorite pair. I'm wearing them almost daily. It took some time for them to wear in properly, but now they're perfection. They feel great, they're easy to lace up, and they are rugged as the day is long. Best boots I’ve ever had

These are my 2nd pair of this particular boot. I climb cell phone & radio towers for a living and I cannot imagine doing my job with any other pair of boots. The first set I had abused the shot out of; cuts in the leather, wear and tear on the soles, & worn out shanks. But not once did I oil or treat them in the 3 years of ownership. Grants they lost the waterproofness in the last year of ownership due to cuts in the leather, but nonetheless, hands down the best pair of work boots I’ve ever owned. This pair off amazon are now 6 months old with 7 days of continuous use every week of every month for that time frame. I’m barely painful to wear

I was expecting a new pair of boots and when they arrived you could clearly tell that they were worn before and these are the most uncomfortable bits I’ve ever put on my feet, and I’ve worn a lot of different boots in the 25 years doing tree work. Unbearably painful to wear.

Dang good boots

Man are these great boots! From support to fit to sizing everything is amazing plus their water resistant as long as you take care of them and oil every once in a while. Made my crew jelous. I have hoffman comfort even while climbing for under 300$ is unheard of but leave it to carolina to score a grand slam woth these boots ... show more
